He has majority custody but he assaulted his ex (mom of three of the seven kids) and she was so messed up by their abusive relationship that after terrorizing her into leaving he was able to argue in court that his steady job and house make him a better parent. So yeah, maybe she was no better but she isn't at fault here.

According to information from Crime Watch Minneapolis, Gooden was also “wanted or was to be arrested for 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct” at the time of the shooting. A 2014 video posted by Crime Watch also appears to show Gooden wielding some kind of pellet or air-soft rifle in a garage with friends. The group was ostensibly engaging in target practice. In that video, Gooden said he was picturing a white person when he aimed at the target.
You have our "current" Justice system to blame for why he was still on the streets. As for the weapons, if you know where to go you will be able to buy such things outside of the proper way. Meaning, illegal street dealers. plain and simple.

This guy had a responsible job and a house. He didn't present himself as a criminal so effectively that family courts gave him custody of his exes' three kids. The ex he beat the daylights out of until she ran away in fear and got a restraining order.

I wish it would click in everyone's minds that gun laws do not prevent criminals from possessing firearms...case in point! They don't follow the law, by definition! Meth is illegal, yet tons of people do it. How do they get it? There's always a way for a criminal to do what he wants if he chooses. It's unfortunately a burden for law abiding people to carry as a response to potential criminal threats.
Your argument is ridiculous. For too long guns have been sold to everyone regardless of their background check or suitability. Now that some states actually started to do something about it the other states don't care and guns are still prevalent. This guy probably just went to a neighboring republican state and purchased one in a legal loophole where his background check never happened.

My neighbor is a felon for armed robbery. He isn't supposed to have a gun. His grandpa, dad, and uncle died leaving him every hunting rifle. He likes to shoot the gins at night. I told the sheriff, and nothing happened.
@johncena-hq1ti My neighbors felony was armed robbery. He did 8 out of 10 years. His yard is usually full of stolen items. The outdoor building is full of items from house robberies. I can't prove it, but my late dad's pressure washer and gas can come up missing after taking a break from pressure washing the house. I came outside, and the washer and gas can were gone. I live on 3 acres with only a neighbor close by. I think I am sure who took it. To hell with the whole people don't like snitches. If he has a problem with it, he knows where I live.

When are Judges and Prosecuting and Defense Attorneys going to be held accountable for giving lenient and/or suspended sentences? It's been happening fat too often that these criminals get out of jail and repeat or more likely escilate in the crimes they commit. How are the Judges, Defense and Prosecuting Attorneys not looked and accessories to the the crimes commited, especially violent crimes, commited after they receive little or no punishments?
