Interrogation experts do actually apply a professional curiosity to try and understand the reason for the suspect's behaviour. Sometimes they are faking it of course, but I remember a quote from one of The Behaviour Panel (amazing RU-vid channel) saying that if you don't have the intellectual honestly to sincerely want to know what makes criminals tick, then you shouldn't be an interrogator. So lots of interrogators are actually trying to relate to them in the moment.
I used The Reid Technique for over 15 years in a corporate security role and it is very effective. Agree though, when they say anything positive about you, it is completely the opposite. There is only word that this guy could have said that would have helped him, and that word is lawyer.

When he was finally criminally prosecuted 50yrs later he was described as 'possibly the worst domestic child abuser in this State's history'. So profoundly primally and permanently damaging. I remember when I was 12, 13 days before my 13th birthday. I endured a 6 hour SA at sharp point,by a 46 year old man. He got 22 years. I'm 47 now and still live with the nightmares/night terrors, C-PTSD, anxiety/panic attacks, and other issues. I found out earlier this year that he died slowly of cancer. As far as I know I was his 5th and final victim. I seriously doubt it though.
My mama passed away when I was little me and my three sisters were raised by my dad he never once saw us nude if we went in the bathroom and didn't lock the door he would get mad I'm so blessed to have a good daddy he never once asked to check us that is pure sickness he needs to be locked away and never let out I hope the victims get therapy they need😢

When I was 15, I went to my best friend's house and was greeted by her youngest niece who wrapped her arms around my legs in a hug and buried her face in my groin and then smiled up at me. My best friend witnessed this and we both exchanged looks before I bent down to hug her and told her she shouldn't hug people like that because not everyone has good intentions. Turns out her mother's bf was abusing her and her sister and telling them that's how you "show love", which is why she greeted me like that. Pedophiles will do anything to justify their actions, but the consequences can really damage a child's mind and spirit 🙁 I hope this man rots in prison!

I am absolutely SHOCKED and disgusted that Judges and juries don’t watch every minute of interrogation footage and body cam footage. It is so revealing of people’s true colors. The criminal gets all dressed up in a suit, & are on their best behavior in the courtroom… but on the camera they were kicking, screaming, punching, crying and lying.
He thinks he’s making himself look better by saying the child kept pursuing him … but it just makes him look like more of a monster. I obviously don’t believe for a second that the child was trying to be sexual with him. But if a child is displaying sexually inappropriate behavior it’s a sign that the child has been sexually abused in the past. If that’s the case you get the child help, not continue the abuse. Children can’t consent.

Our "mother" used to take all 5 of my sisters to the Dr seemed like every single year to have the exam done to make sure they hadn't had sex. We keep tryin to set-up a get together but it always seems to get put aside. As long as they are healthy physically I don't want to push. I didn't have to go thru that kind of abuse.

My grandfather only got 5 years with hard evidence. Different state and county etc. He would've gotten WAY MORE time somewhere else. I called him when I became an adult and found out where he was living. Told him I'll see him someday and had a lead gift for him. Wanted him to constantly look behind his back. Personally I think victims and the families should be given full reign to freely do as they please to these predators.
