I have got in contact with a friend of Memphis,he informed me that he is fine,and he will continue showing us his work. He was just too busy with other stuff!

Same happened to James of The Savage Garage who was on his way to 100k subscribers but real life intervened and he stopped a few years ago, as "real life got in the way" and like Memphis he was very, very good in front of the camera, starting out on his drive without a workshop and bringing great content. People should realise that to film, edit and post good content frequently takes a huge part of your life which doesn't stop when you are not a fully monetised RU-vidr. Life has more to offer than entertaining others and unless you are prepared to commit a lot of time, possibly the best years of your life and if you're not careful, your personal relationships, to making YT content full time it can take over your life. You certainly need the full support of your partner, family and friends if you want to make RU-vid your profession.

I'm not sure what I find more satisfying - the beautifully painted engine bay, formerly rusty parts after they've been sandblasted or the zinc coated nuts and bolts! Amazing work Memphis. If you ever decide to do commissions, I have a 1982 Porsche 911SC that needs some jobs doing :)

I did a few restorations on those calipers. They actually are a variation of Peugeot brakes and amongst other cars - their older model was used in DeTomaso Pantera.

Onderzijde van je SAAB is nu zo goed als nieuw ! Mooi werk om te zien hoe alles weer schoon en gespoten is, en met alle bouten en moeren weer als nieuw is het prettig monteren ! Voordat het een budget project betreft bezuinig je niet op belangrijke als remmen en dus veiligheid. Al met al wordt een mooi project en als de wagen straks op de weg is geeft dat veel voldoening te weten dat alles er weer piekfijn voor staat ! Wat je volgende auto betreft.....de deur hendel komt mij bekent voor maar nee weet niet wat voor auto ons te wachten staat. Helaas dus geen kans op een sticker ! De Volvo van je vader is ook een prachtige auto en ja soms moet je afscheid durven nemen van een auto maar dat vind en vond ik nooit gemakkelijk. Nieuwsgierig naar je volgende episode sluit ik af en wens je alle gezondheid toe en tot later !! Doe toch een gok: Citroën GS ?

Yes indeed - (Lucas) Girling was the original manufacturer of these style calipers for Saab. They were also my first employer out of University (1985 until 1993)! AP Lockheed had a similar front sliding/swinging caliper design (minus the handbrake mechanism) that was used on the British Leyland ADO16 range of cars in the 1960s/70s. Really high quality restoration going on here - keep it up!

I discovered your channel a couple of days ago, and I truly love what I see! I’m from Sweden and also started the EXACT same project like you in 2006-2007, but i had to stop when I became a father. I hold on to the car a couple of months until I sold it. Today it’s up and running, the new owner continued my project, the cars is now worth around 20-25k€ sold it for 1k€ 😅😂 The only difference between my car and your is that my was a SAAB 900 T16, aero, 2 doors, sunroof, red leather seats and electrical windows. 1985 😍 I miss it every day, and thinking about doing a remake of my dream project when the kids are old enough lol. I also would like to do this project with a SAAB 9-3 coupe aero (first gen). I almost did start a total remake of a 9-5 aero Hirsch 2001, but got another kid so needed a 7 seater lol. I have a lot of knowledge about Saab in general, so feel free to ask me anything! I will truly follow this series!!!! You’re a great “speaker” and a good mechanic, this Saab will probably be one of the finest out there on the roads. And if it’s hard to sell it in Belgium, you should really try to sell it in Sweden. I recon you will get about 10-15k€ when you’re done. Maybe even more. To bad it’s not a turbo tho :(

Iv never heard of them being called 'suspension triangles' before That style of suspension I know as wishbones or A-arms But it was a very satisfying build 👍

That handle probably comes from Lada, it matches Niva and 2101 - 2107 models range. Ona second thought - it looks like Fiat 131 handle too, except those had black bit, not all chromed.
