@@haruspex1-50 exactly... there has been numerous stabbings and attacks by 'mentally ill' people (why are they never mentally ill in their country of origin?) across Europe since the horrendous attack in Southport.. almost if the media is trying to keep them low key
All in 1 cabin ? Sound suspicious, in the middle of the night . We’re they put there, locked in ? The group were all part of the legal team ,they all died but all the crew survived.
Rich or poor, this is a horrible way for anyone to go. The fear and panic they must have experienced is so heartbreaking and that young girl... the daughter. Even though she lived the life of a princess, I'm sure, she really never had a chance to live her life. I read somewhere that she just finished college. Life can be so cruel.

Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, is being reported everywhere else as a survivor. If true, the statement by your guest, that ‘his wife had also died’ probably needs correcting.
The Captain and the crew members are already out of Italy? Good luck prosecuting them , they're probably paid good money and will be running for their lives ! We will never know what really happened! When Mike Lynch found out that his friend, and Co- defended Stephen Chamberlain had been hit by a car while jogging in Cambridge on August 17 died , he should have turned around!
Where is the reporting of the white man who was pushing his child in a push chair in Birmingham and was stabbed in the neck by a black man whist his black friends filmed and laughed?
I doubt people would be look as closely if it wasn't for the law suit win, the money, the timing and the fact that his co-defendant was run down a day or two earlier!
The superyacht had a crew of 10 and carried 12 passengers with the latest modern safety equipment. 90% of the crew survived and only 50% of the passengers survived. An old sailboat many decades older anchored next to the modern “Party Superyacht” survived without any damage and rescued the 15 survivors. Like any mystery whodunit movie there are a lot of coincidences, but no hard evidence and only conjecture as what went wrong.
LADY! LADY! It's more than obvious that 5 people grouped together, DID NOT DIE IN THEIR SLEEP ... unless one of them had a sleepover that fateful night! Journalists reading from scripts can sometimes sound really silly. 🤭🤣🤣
@@ChannelHolder13 No, I didn't mean him, I meant Diamond, who is meant to be a journalist and demonstrated very obviously that she wasn't listening to what the Italian was saying! We see that a lot in 'journalists' these days, unfortunately! The Fourth Estate is definitely not what it used to be!!
Be careful if you ride a bike, or jay walk, or travel down lonely lanes, or drive under motorway bridges at night. 🤣I will stick to my Brother printer.
Why don’t you make fun of the fraudster. Not even funny. Fraud affected to everyone. Always attacking the Americans and you guys are angels. Hypocrites!
Apparently 3000 lives are listed at sea on average every year and over 200 vessels. Of course this is only being spoken about because of the wealth surrounding it.
Such biased reporting about the crew, i am a former superyacht captain, also worked on a similar vessel built by the same company. Wait for the investigation to conclude, the crew were all on deck doing their job, they were risking their own lives. The yacht keeled over and the crew and some guests all ended up in the sea. Dont make hasty judgement and stop experts !! Who are clueless about yacht construction, yacht crew. Yacht operating procedures etc etc. Get superyacht captains on your news feed and stop feeding this rubbish to your viewers. The captain and crew have probably been advised by a maritime lawyer to leave Italy ASAP, fight their case on neutral grounds, i know they will be made scapegoats in this tragic incident.
With all respect, when they have 22 on board, it should be absolutely necessary to do a safety operation. At least if they knew where the life jackets are located they might have saved their lives even if the crew and captain could not support them fast enough.
If you really were what you say you were, you might have been able to give a few basic answers to the many questions. Like why did the captain not sound a general alarm. Confirm that the keel should have been fully extended and the craft faced into the wind. Confirm that you might have ordered all hatches and doors secured and all hands under the deck, not on the deck. You ducked everything captain Birds Eye.
I guess that they had two life rafts , one on each side. The yacht sunk on its side so one life raft was trapped. The other seems to have been released automatically went the boat sunk.
How heartbreaking this is for those poor people it's so unimaginable what went through they're minds my heart goes to them so very sad it's terrifying just the thought of being far out in the sea for something like this 😢😢
The BBC interviewed a well known British police investigator who said that they were taught at Scotland Yard that there is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to death....
I watch a lot of true crime investigations and I very often hear police officers and detectives say: "I don't believe in coincidences" or "there's no such thing as a coincidence". It sure makes you wonder.
The captain gets big money to do a professional job. There are some that become very blase and egotistical. The Captain is responsible for the lives of all on board
Something stinks - 5 people all found in the same cabin while the boat was sinking - even if it sank as quickly as it did, which seems suspicious in itself - meanwhile the wife takes the baby and sleeps on the deck when a massive STORM is forecast? Something stinks.
If the storm hit suddenly and push the Skipper and the Crew into the water, do you actually expect they all dive into the water and try to save some rich people....??? ..That's something you see on movies, not often in real life. So, they want to bring legal action against the Skipper and the Crew for not killing themselves...???...Good luck with that.
Condolences to all the family and friends of the seven lost ones may they be blessed and their memory be a blessing;. No culpability; no error: quite right to lift the fin keel when coming in to moorand then, riding at anchor. No closing of every port, hatch and door with the numbers aboard and no foul weather forecast in an hot climate and calm sea: BUT!! The wrong design in the wrong place at the wrong time! All very sad but despite the size, the vessel was NOT DESIGNED as an ocean going ship!! Merely as a luxury "gin palace" for "blue-water sailing". The design, both above and below decks is more in line with a motor yacht rather than a sailing vessel (To be stable and upright even in turbulence). The torque force of the mast per degree of list and the multiple sets of cross-trees splitting the wind would only have added to the ship's problems in this event of an unpredictable "turbovent" No more than and no less than a tragic accident under unforeseen circumstances. What is done is done. R.I.P. Everyone giving evidence to the enquiry will be giving their evidence from their own defensive point of view! The designer!! The builder!! everyone! A merry dinner had been enjoyed by all and the obvious result was uninterruptible slumber for those who partook! The crew and the chef would have been soberly "on duty" and far more alert in the few moments of absolute chaos!!! All so very sad and sadder too that the "vested interests" will all be looking for a "scapegoat" result!!!
Very good point about allertness of the crew. A side note: how did the survivors managed to get out of the super yacht ? Using the inflatabe ? It must have been a total panic on board even if the vessel took 50 minutes to fully sink ... the timing does not add up or wass it 15 minutes ?
I think that Mike Lynch has paid more tax than you will ever do in UK, you should be ashamed making this point when people have died including a young 18 year old woman.
in severe conditions people will often sleep close to the exit or bridge so there is a quick excape this is what we did to cat 4 -5 cyclone to me it seems really weird as the bilge pumps should have activated as it took on water and those in charge should have got everyone up during rough conditions whats weird is 7 in one room most people in severe conditions would find it very hard to sleep through and should have been awake
I heard somewhere that there was another guy who won the legal case in America together with the owner of this yacht. And this other guy also died very recently in an accident (well, er, we must assume an 'accident'?) while he was out jogging? Now funny coincidences can sometimes happen. But...yeah...it does begin to feel kind of spooky...
Nobody said grilled you did he was questioned as everyone involved would be .I’m sure reserving judgement until the verdict of the investigation might be a good idea rather than vilifying people when very few details are available yet
Sicily? Isn't that island governed in some areas by mafia groups? If so,it should make some people wonder why a billionaire superyacht was anchored off the island?
Why aren't you talking about or linking the death of Stephen Chamberlain into this yacht tragedy? Considering he was hit & killed by a car last week & was involved in the Mike Lynch court case....😮🤔🤯😁
The superyacht crewmembers have blown to the four winds and left Italy before the investigation! Its not like the movies where the police tells people, "don't leave town".
"THE SAILING YACHT BAYESIAN HAS BEEN CAPSIZED BECAUSE, (1) IT WAS ANCHORED IN OPEN WATER (NO FLEXIBILITY IN THE STORM WEATHER) AND (2) THE KEEL IT WAS NOT COMPLETELY OUT (LOSING BALANCE IN THE STORM WEATHER)"
We had the same type of storm where I live, more than 50 huge trees were completely wiped out and one’s right next to it nothing, as well as much more if anyone thinks it couldn’t tip a freakin boat if it was down or not anchored needs mental help or to go thru a funnel spout storm themselves asap
Why do you want a, false narrative? Infirm yourself. there was no water tornado registered by Italian authorities. They say they THINK , a possibility, not a confirmation it could have been a down burst
I predict another disaster for the family of Mike Lynch. I am afraid to say that the insurance company will decline to compensate the capsized Bayesian, having said that the insurance company's of each individual passenger, it's likely to compensate their survivors only.
As Mike Lynch' wife owns Revtom Ltd, an Isle of Man company that has OWNED the boat since 2014, I am sure she can afford to get a salvage company to raise the yacht up for a proper investigation.
this reminds me of the sinking of the concordia where the captain was charged for manslaughter although the situation between the two are different the captain should of known about the flash storm as fishermen knew about it.
Manslaughter? Come on. A super yacht is hit by an enormous tornado that no one is prepared for or expecting. Human error by a young inexperienced captain and crew is more likely.
While being from the US Coast guard this definitely is a manslaughter. Procedures were not followed captains were not alerted ship was not secured for a storm. Even abandon ship procedures weren't followed I mean how in the world does the crew get into a life raft and they leave the passengers to sink in a boat. For those who are not charged on the crew for manslaughter none of these Yoder should ever work on a yacht again😮
The captain checked the weather report and it said there was no approaching tornad cell. How can it be that suddenly there is a mega tornado cell pushing the ship down to the sea bed?
Arguably the crew is responsible and should be arrested. Basically they have declined to assist Mr. Lynch and his guests. In fact they have abandoned the Bayesian to save their lives only.
Yes, that's obvious. But why did it sink? There are many things the crew could have done which may have prevented it sinking. This should be checked. Also, why did the passengers below deck not escape whilst the captain and other crew did? These are questions that should be answered. If someone you loved died on board a ferry or cruise ship in similar circumstances you would want answers and accountability. An investigation doesn't mean that someone has to go to jail. It can mean that someone can be proven innocent of wrongdoing. Finally, lessons will be learnt and the industry will hopefully improve.
Boat 🛥️ maker has said that the boat is unsinkable but it sank , not the fault of the captain. Manslaughter charge is ludicrous. It was a freak accident…..smh ‼️‼️
The military trains on helicopter crashes at sea in the dark, in a small space and upside down, yet trained young soldiers drown. These people were mostly old and had been asleep and not prepared. The Party Superyacht had large furniture inside of the passenger cabins. Hannah Lynch found away from the other five passengers trapped underwater could be due to her being trapped by the large furniture inside of her cabin and died alone unable to leave her cabin to join the others. Her father and the others probably couldn’t open her cabin door.
There's something not right in this sad sinking of Mike's yacht, I'm sure they'll find the drop keel down, and the portholes and windows closed, the AC on reason for closure. The Captain is definitely on the inquests top list.
Did you know the captain was contracted by the US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to do this because they lost a case and took this personal. Both the car accident and the boat. Cmon connect the dots. Do you need help?
Even if Cutfield goes back to his native country; if Italy has "probable cause"- negligence of duties- they can " extradite" Cutfield back to Italy, in which Cutfield MUST go.
non story, and the Italians, whose Maritime Board are first class by the way, are looking at a much wider spectrum of root cause. I have sailed the Med and you cannot legislate for isolated weather events.
First of all the investigation should help that such a tragedy does not happen again. But please you need to know that waterspouts at this time of the year is a very normal phenomenon in the Mediterranean ….. be always prepared!
Why were no blood tests done on the Captain and crew? Where was Mike's wife when the event occured? Was the keel retracted and was the back hanger open? These are facts the inquest should know and should be made public. There should also be radar data of the weather anomaly,. The only person who could potentially gain from this event is Mike's wife.
Looking for blame. Italy and their history with charging Emergency Managers and Sclentists for Earthquake deaths. They charged 6 geologists 2012 and others going back to a 2009 EQ.
The whole thing is just a horrible tragedy. First, the beautiful yacht. A beautiful perini navi. Sad that she now rest in her watery grave. Rest in peace. To the ones who couldn't get out. And the disgrace of the crew. Who left their primaries to die.
