Reminded me of most of Leslie Nielson's exchanges from Airplane! The pacing was great, the unnecessary melodramatic delivery was perfect, and Cori was just stoic because Graham being Graham is nothing to concern oneself over anymore.
That bit absolutely cracked me up, it really felt like Graham was channeling a Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker film, like Airplane! or Top Secret! - which is awesome.
Trial of trash (B) Enchantment - When Trial of trash enter the battlefield all creatures get -1/-1 until end of turn. When a Cartouche enters the battlefield under your control, return Trial of trash to its owner’s hand. "For there will always be cleaning after glory."
AH! I JUST NOTICED IAN GRABBING THE ROBE IN THE SHOT IN THE PROP ROOM AND PROVES I JUST LOVE THIS WHOLE EPISODE ENOUGH TO WATCH IT ....for the 7th time this month?
Given Canada Post's illustrious reputation, we might be better setting entries in the pool for *months*, not days... (but I wager at least two plaques have already been engraved by now)
If I saw an ad to be in a LRR video, I think that I would sign up regardless of whatever else the ad said, because I would be like, "LRR needs me! Off I go! To heck with all those other words!"
Oatmeal and Raisen are simply the best cookie type (primarily because they are an efficient cinnamon delivery mechanism). Any chocolate based one ends up too dry.
Me, in public: "It's like, 'stay away from my cookies, raisins!' Am I right?" Me, in private: (just eating so many oatmeal raisin cookies, as if from an inexhaustible supply)
This was the best episode in a long time. I feel like the structure of this one fit the shorter length of the episodes in a way previous ones haven't really. Massive props to everyone involved.
I find myself once again watching this video, because it is very very likely my favorite cH episode to date. Everything about the timing, the delivery, the dry wit, it's all just peak LRR humor and is a perfect encapsulation of why I love you guys. The bit with Graham, Cam, and Heather in the kitchen especially is just SO GOOD.
I kinda wanna have that plaque made and sent to them via mail with a note that says "what's in this box is both technically correct and deeply disturbing"
Anyone know what the chores on the chore wheel are? I can read "hire a janitor", "relocate mt. garbage", and "purify toilet", but I can't tell what the bottom three chores are because of the glare (though I suspect one of them is "experience Beej")
The real question is, if one of the chores is "Hire a Janitor" wouldn't they just do all chores on said wheel, thus negating the need for the wheel? Or would the Janitor also use the wheel, and thus propagate a recursive "Hire Janitor" scenario wherein eventually the entire LRRcast would come to be replaced with Janitors?
Not to ruin the joke but sometimes hiring a janitor may mean you still have to clean up major things yourself. Many of the part time services you hire just do maintenance cleaning like cleaning floors and windows. They won't clean up a mountain of garbage, or do any of the other things on a chore wheel.
I'm kinda with Bartleby on this one. I've always hated oatmeal raisin; I constantly live in fear that I will bite into a cookie, thinking it's chocolate chip, only to discover that it isn't. Horrifying.
Say the phrase a couple of times, mention that it comes up a lot, ask if they might get it on a plaque, cut to needlepoint of another saying. They are asking for a needlepoint of That statement is both technically correct and deeply upsetting!
Can LRR read my thoughts from the future? The two things I thought while watching this was "man I haven't seen alex in a while" and "ew raisin cookies". And the closer addressed both of these thoughts...
Hey, we haven't heard that little spooky music ( at 6:14 ) since cH: Laundry (immediately following "communicating telepathically")! It's been a while, spooky jingle.
Thanksgiving?... October 8th?! Wow... That's beautiful. A thanksgiving free from the ongoing war between Halloween and Christmas. When was the last US Thanksgiving without the crossfire?
OK not something to watch with a massive Gin hangover, definitely think i caught a Police Squad pun in there though. I'll rewatch when my head doesn't hurt and I can see better.
