I’ve know made the bag, I added some fusible fleece. I added the channel before I sewed it together, and I also sewed the whole thing together leaving a hole in the bottom. Did u know that when u come to the end of one side, if you slide the bottom bit under ur needle, hard to explain, it makes box bottoms so easy as they are joined together xx

Sew the little drawstring tabs on the front fabric first before sewing the sides. Then after, topstitch through both layers to catch the lining. Also perhaps having gap in side of lining is easier than tiny gap in bottom to pull bag right side out.
