Sustainable Educational Mindset: Fundamental To Integral Social and Environmental Human Training
by Marcelo Marujo, Mary Galdino, & Valéria Marques de Oliveira
This essay highlights the importance of a new sustainable educational mindset in contemporary times, as it understands the need in society for knowledge of an education capable of promoting a transcendental integral human formation, capable of dealing with the socio-environmental degradation that weakens both human beings and the ecosystem. global. In line with the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, concerning their integral vision, the connection between the human and the extra-natural provides a better aunderstanding of the world, and is now understood as a strategic condition for sustainability in the perspective of global thinking to rethink and act local. This immeasurable scenario confirms the science of sustainability as a potential source for resizing research and teaching, integrating researchers, professionals and lay citizens as necessary protagonists for strengthening the metavision essential to building a plural knowledge to experience environmental complexity in its entirety. These constraints show how much contemplative civilization favors an experience and, above all, a feasible coexistence of rescuing the human being in its essence to be the true agent of transformation for the undertaking of a sustainable culture that provides socioenvironmental responsibility.
