In this video BIC SUPs Jimmy Blakeney explains how their exclusive technologies are built and the sustainable efforts BIC Sport uses during the manufacturing process.
Any notable differences in sun UV damage resistance? I have a cross adventure 11' with ace-tec but need to buy another for the girl. I don't mind the added weight and prefer durability and sun resistance as at the lake house they're exposed to the sun regularly. Any thoughts here? I'm happy to report my ace-tec has held up beautifully over the past 5 years and has been exposed to sun daily. Thank you for making worry free products!
Hey guys. I've been paddleboarding on lakes for a couple of years now, and I want to try my hand at SUP-ing in the surf. Being a nube who is likely to put his board through hell, would I be better off with an ACE-TEC or a TOUGH-TEC board? Hard to tell from the video - the ACE-TEC has more layers, but the TOUGH-TEC seems to indicate that it would be stronger and possibly take more punishment.
Hi Sunny, we'd recommend Tough-Tec for maximum durability. Ace-Tec is very durable compared to traditional epoxy/fiberglass boards, but Tough-Tec is in a class by itself as far as durability in a lightweight board that's properly shaped.
