Sustainable clothing or footwear doesn't always have to be your recycled materials or special factories. When a product is handmade and constructed so that it can be broken down and remade for it to "sustain" a lifetime...well there you go. In today's episode I review a pair of beautiful handcrafted Double Monkstrap shoes from the brand 'The Office of Angela Scott'. As a man, I love Double Monkstrap shoes. I've always wondered why I've never seen women putting them on since I thought the shoes goes well more with women than men --you've proved my point.

As a woman who was (and still kinda is honestly) obsessed with men's fashion, the reason for not many women wearing double monks is because it's not a style often offered by women's shoe designers, meaning that it's incredibly hard to find double monk straps in women's sizes. Hence, people don't just stumble across them while browsing, so they don't get as much press in the women's fashion world. If you are a woman wanting these kinds of shoes, you have to 1) actively know they exist and 2) search out specific brands carrying this style.

Thanks for posting, I've been eyeing this brand for awhile but haven't found many reviews. I'm also indecisive between these (in the red shade) or one of the many styles of brogues they create. However, they seem like a great investment! I've been considering a pair of Fluevogs for awhile, but Angela Scott's styles seem much more wearable. Your review has been helpful, stay fly 😀

I'm glad it was helpful for you. I'm obsessed with double monkstraps cuz I like that they're a bit more edgy. But Brogues are classic too. My argument is that I love that not a lot of women wear double monkstrap so that could be a plus if you're looking for something to help your decision. And I can't say enough good things about the brand. I've reviewed a lot of their shoes (instagram mini reviews coming soon) and all are amazing quality.

I also realy love monks and quality footwear. But i also have the 'problem' of being female. You should check out Meermin Mallorca and Shoepassion. They make gorgeous goodyear welted female shoes! Btw great shoes you bought❤️

Are you normally a 7 1/2 or was that bc of the style you went a size up? I’m a 7 with a full medium foot. Would you recommend a 7 1/2?

Yes, I'm normally 7. Yes if you're a 7 medium width foot, definitely go a half size up. That's what they suggest anyways. Hope this was helpful. Thanks for your comment Mayte!
