That's because he was asked to write the song for the anime Berserk, and I guess he considered "Kaji wo tore"'s beat to fit the anime? I'm not sure. I just know Forces is inspired off that song.
Even with my minimal understanding of the Japanese language I always feel like the words are so kind and beautiful.. He is truly a great artist. I feel such a longing yet peacefulness when i listen to this song..

Sad that, despite how many of his songs I've listened to, this is my first time really appreciating this one. It's definitely one of his more soothing pieces.
Listening to this whilst doing my calculus coursework makes everything seem to flow smoother. Probably because it's making me dance in my chair and is preventing my legs from getting stiff from sitting so long.
This song makes me think of all of the studio Ghibli characters on a theme park swan ride in the water Then suddenly they turn out to be real swans and they start flying away
His songs to me sound a lot like circus tunes. You think for a second the song will go someplace, but it goes somewhere completely different and unexpected. I love it!
High minded castle is pretty good, I've got a little over 50 Susumu Hirasawa songs so far. This one in particular is very powerful, a little less harmonic then the rest but I love it when he turns down to a whisper level of singing. He does this on alot of songs and it just sounds too good. As an update I now have a new favorite non berserk related song. Love song, I think it's also on the aurora track.
Wow, is his entire aurora album dedicated to anti-war? I hadn't looked into the lyrics for his songs so far, just a couple of the berserk related ones. Thanks for that inforamtion friend, I'll probably stick on youtube to hear more songs.
zealotscout I hope you are reading the manga while listening to the music it was written to. I can not read Miura's work now if i am not listening to Susumu.
