I drive daily in Chandigarh Most of the policemen are polite A similar thing happened to me my number plate was dirty and not visible they stopped me and politely said Sir please clean it that's it This man is arrogant and stupid They are only doing their duty and making our city safe
Dont agree. Chandigarh administration does treat its traffic police as an income source. They trouble people for small things and challan them. The person was somewhat arrogant but if the person was soft, the same policeman will be all over him.
Imagine same guy with his covered number plate drivers over you while you're on a motorcycle and runs away...you try to note the number but wasn't able to because uski plate covered thi...how will you feel ??

drive safe...These SUV's are not good for Indian road conditions...that too with such rash drivers. Suv buyers are thinking car will take care...but the fact is you have to drive safe.

Many times residents of the area have gone to police station but the PS Incharge also shows his/her desperation to handle this man due to his links with higher ups in Police/Legal hierarchy. One can hear him calling names to his neighbourers or anyone who even looks towards stray dogs kept by him (about 5-10 dogs, who regularly bite elderly and children). This imposter must be handled as per law and be not allowed to go scotfree under the influence from anyone from Police/Legal fraternity. We salute the policeman who have dated to apprehend this HELL of a CROOK.
You are not authorised to. All that has to be done by IT dept. They too would need a probable cause. Most likely he is a lawyer, def not a Magistrate. Using a v average smart phone, and the style of speaking is not like a Magistrate at all.

You must show your driving license to the traffic police if you are asked as per section 130 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. But you have the right to refuse to hand it over to the traffic cop if you do not want to.
@@isaakhan4093 Show it on your phone either through digilocker app or parivahan app, don't take out physical copy because cops can try to take it from you, which is wrong but then this how most Indian cops really are especially if there are more than one when they stop u. Also don't pay the fine , say you will pay online or if u feel its unfair then u will contest it on court, you don't have to pay the fine on the spot.

Lol wo usko 4 digit number plate ke uper hi lagana tha. It was not even in center. Aggr center me nhi lagana tha to 4 digit number ke uper hi kyun. Side me bhi to lgg salkta tha. It has even big grill to not cover even a centimeter of the plate.

That has no relevance to this issue. The guy in the video is clearly admitting that his license plate with covered, thus the traffic police in this situation were absolutely right to stop him. There is nothing else in this video to suggest that the police were acting with any malice or corrupt motive. Making a generalized statement about traffic police is really the opposite of “understanding the matter”.
The driver must be your relative or something, that’s the only plausible explanation for you making such an idiotic comment. The cop did not do anything unprofessional. Most of us who have some common sense actually appreciate this cop for doing fulfilling duty properly.

I live in chandigarh. It’s my hometown. Here we have CCTV’s everywhere on the roads. Traffic policemen and other policemen are very helpful. Once the number plate of my bike was broken, they stopped and politely said ki bache number plate change karwa lena apni nahi toh chalaan kat sakta hai. Galti isi bandy ki hai. Jo akad raha hai.
My rule while driving on road...... stay away from Mahindra and Fortuner. People driving them have very small egos. They never follow traffic rules and even if you try to be as careful as possible and follow traffic rules, it can hurt their ego and they will come out aggressively on you. Seeing the condition of the Judiciary in our country, I have no intention of dragging them to court and getting exploited for years.
