I've purchased the 4-ply Merino (fingering) from White Gum Wool and i can verify how utterly magnificent it is. I purchased 2 skeins of 'natural' in 2020, and 2 skeins of 'Hawthorn' (red) in Sept 2024!
I totally enjoyed this wonderful presentation. I am a new subscriber to your channel and look forward to seeing more. Thank you so much. And, greetings from Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada :)
I enjoyed this very much! I am still a relatively new knitter, Suzanne, I asked you a question a few weeks back on the Nathan Taylor Sockmatician interview related to being a left-handed knitter, and your advice has been so helpful! I am making strides, climbing that learning curve everyday and loving it. I wanted to ask if you could share the name of the yarn shop in South Carolina frequented whoever Charles is, I'm in Savannah, GA and would love to know more, it is probably very near me. I am also thinking of ordering some yarn from Maree, she's just delightful. Thank you!
@@SuzanneBryan well shoot, they are in NC, about 5 hours away. I do go the north Georgia mountains every Fall, about an hour from there, so will plan to visit then. You are so wonderful about anawering!
Perhaps I am not hearing this correctly, but I do not understand what "rep" in "rep" or perhaps "rap" yarns means. I learned so much in this interview!
Hi Barbara - that is my rather broad Kiwi accent I am afraid - I am referring to a Wrap yarn - this is a yarn where an invisible thread or binder is wrapped around the fibres to create a textured yarn.
@@skeinzdiaries Your drawing of it was great. I got that right away. Your whole interview held my interest all the way through. Now I know how the yarn I am knitting with is made. (Oh Dang! yarn, a Suri alpaca/silk.). I had sure been wondering how those little fuzzy bits could be holding on and how did they get there?
