The problem is peaple think at 60 you stop rocking it never leaves you that's why you see some old men in there 80s still rocking it out rock and roll will never die out
Lot of musicians as they get older tend to slow down some on their instruments. It sounds like Suzy's Bass playing has progressed with age.! My bass playing definitely has slowed at 64. I remember listen to her back in the early 2 middle 70s .
I heard Suzi Quatro as a kid because my dad grew up in the 60s and 70s and has listened to the same music ever since, but I never really 'discovered' her til now and I am in LOVE.
Rock n Roll is not about age it's about attitude & Suzi still has it. To be able to do what you love for over 45 years & still crank it out is a testament to her musical abilities & her attitude..
thank you all for supporting me promise to bring more hit...suziquatr37@gmail.com you can text me with this email for more information about me thank you....

This really warms the heart.....the voice ay not be as powerful as un her heyday but Suzi is still rocking out. I had seen Suzi perform live many times. One concert in Sydney Australia 1984 was still to this day the best live act I have ever seen....and I have seen plenty
The haters will hate, let them. Keep in mind she's pushing 70. I'm a guitar player, lead, and I'm 60. I can't play like I did when I was 25, 30 .... I started listening to her when the album with Can The Can came out. 1973 I'm not going to write that this video impressed me very much, for one thing, it's shot with a cell phone. At least she's still trying. Her fan base is heavily overseas. They're loyal to her. Some of these haters and bashers will one day understand what age does to hands, voice, body...then maybe, just maybe, the light bulb of "oh shit, now I get it" will come on. In closing, Suzi is a very nice woman. She didn't know me from Adam when I asked her through Myspace to send my good friend, who is also a female bass player, a birthday greeting, personally. She was happy to do it. Some of these paper cutter, snobby auto-tune, drop tune cheating pop tarts who can't sing, never played an actual instrument, would charge for something like that If one could even contact them. I'll take an aging rocker over the crap being produced these days
Thx Nick! That is probably the first objective criticism that I read. The gig was not planned. Suzi replaced Albert Hammond, who failed that day. She played with a new drummer and her brass band. And yet it was a wonderful summer evening. Never would I musicians who have done so much, so bad to criticize, whether I like it personally or not. It shows me the lack of respect of the people.
@@valentinsteinbrecher Thanks, Valentin. That's too bad about Albert standing her up. And I would have never guessed that she had a new drummer. I wish there had been a better video. I could barely hear her bass. And considering she had a broken wrist not so long ago, which any injury takes longer to recoup from the older we get, not to mention what it does to ones playing hand, Suzi is doing a great job She could have said "that's a sign to quit" yet, she didn't I don't know; it just torque's me when people make fun of musicians who are really talented, stick with it for decades and keep doing what they love. Then when one factors in what passes for music these days, it's almost not worth trying to describe it. Ok, I'll try. I'd rather hear a horse chewing away on cracked 🌽 corn. Video killed the radio star and computers killed instrument playing musicianship. It's too bad that so many women rockers can't find the respect from followers in the USA. They end up going to the UK and Europe, to be appreciated! I'm a big fan of Suzi's, whom we know found better success in the UK and of Beth Hart, who gets more appreciation overseas, than in her home country: USA I appreciate you understanding my point about some of the stupid comments. My mantra for those types is, pick up an instrument, master it, develop it if vocals, don't copy everyone else and keep at it, or shut the F*ck up
@@nickdamit You are right in saying that women make music or sport, less recognition than men. I personally like it. My son does not like women playing soccer. "Shit happend." The first song shows how Suzi turns on the bass and nothing happens. The roady had to run. All in all, the sound was not the best. What I mean to say, I'm sure she can play her bass, but you did not hear him. But the video goes further, she plays the intro of Can the Can on the drums, only then she celebrates her hit. It seems to me that most of them just switch off after 30 seconds. It is debated only about the bass solo. Poor RU-vidrs ...
Go Suzi I been a fan since 1973 and can still remember meeting you in my local on many occasions ( the Royal Oak in Havering ) thanks for the music 👍👍😎💕

I still have fond memories of buying the single 'Can The Can' when I was a young child in 1973 and it's brilliant that Suzi is still performing all of these years later ... Keep rockin' Suzi !!!
BTW My local radio DJ sometimes relays an experience that he had to the listeners concerning the time when he once found himself sitting beside Suzi on a plane flight . He said that she was a lovely, friendly, talkative lady !
Admittedly, in years she has grown a little bit older, but who isn't? But I am very impressed how good she still is. My compliments!!!
Suzi did mostly all the right moves over the years from the start in the early 70's. She was immediately a pretty hard rock player, yet she did no "burn out" behavior to hinder her. As much of a rock jock as any dude but not self destructive.
