SUZUKI just makes sense for me, is cheaper, has more features, longer warranty and is original, I don't buy this Toyota Dealership network story, if you are in Jozi, there is enough Suzuki dealers.Recently bought GLX, happy with my car, very light on fuel, the car is stable at speed. You will use less fuel compared to i10 Grand 1.25 engine, ask me I know, plus i10 engine prefers 95 octane...
I agree with you regarding the dealership point. It's only valid for people in really small dorpies. I mean I lived in Saldanha and there was a Suzuki dealers 30 minutes from my house.
@@joshua7015 I drive it and with a light foot in city driving its light, quick and smooth. You don't even notice that it's only 4 gears.. I'm happy coming from driving a cvt 8 speed on an Audi
Great review! I recently bought a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, and it doesn't have a 360 degree camera! I wish it did. I would choose the Suzuki Baleno over the Toyota Starlett because the Suzuki offers more features, cheaper and an additional year of service plan
This video comes at a good time, I've just bought one, collecting today, styling is a bit different but it's not bad, great car and good value. It is a whole new platform completely re engineered
Can't go wrong with any of the Suzukis on the market. Ignis, Swift, Baleno and the Celerio are fabulous little cars. Go drive one you will see. Economical, Quality, quite spirited, and a good network and service. They even somehow dial in, "good ride quality" in these bargains. Show me a real Toyota on the market hailed for ride quality - unless it's a Suzi by design? It's that car that you miss, that you feel bad selling. "Baby let's keep the Suzuki and sell the Fortuner" - type car. And they dare to look different. Suzukis are clearly Suzukis by looks. I love Suzuki for how they are changing the consumer mindset in SA...at a damn good price.
Great car. I would actually take the cheaper GL for just R225 000. And that includes cruise control! Spend another R10 000 and put alloy wheels on it if you really want that, but otherwise I don't need the HUD and 360 display - those aren't worth another R50 000 in my view.
Baleno and Starlet look good. Maybe the only reason to buy the Starlet over the Baleno, would be Toyota have more dealerships over Suzuki and maybe because of the badge (although they are basically identical). Considering everything else the Baleno is a better option.
hi @julietmcguire. I am in the market for a new car. Options are a Swift or a Baleno. Want to buy new. Swift GLX of Baleno GL. What would you buy between the two? On paper the Baleno looks like a better buy but I love the way the Swift drives. Will be used for mainly town driving. Occasional longer drives(max 400km). What should I spend my money on?
Quick question…. Did Suzuki go back to the original 1.5ltr engine that they were using in the 2000’s when the swifts were really fun?? That was a great engine. I found the 1.4 too mundane.
Problem of the baleno in Namibia the is only one dearship and its in windhoek so while toyota has 7 dearship in Namibia and us in ondangwa the is a toyota dearship
I say oh I don’t know who cheated on whom? Toyota, I think. Go so far as taking the model of another car company and putting its brand. It’s like FIAT that will take the L200 model from Mitsubishi I understand pkoi Mitsubishi has opted for a radical change of Design in headlights and cuts on all its models. Suzuki Ciaz existed long before Toyota came with Belta. I loved you Toyota but now I hate you.
