Even though its an old bike we can appreciate its performance on the road when it's able to reach more than 240kmh .....such an amazing bike but I wanna reach a bandit 1250S just to have fun on it
Had one for 5 years lowered and fitted with wider bars for wrestling into tight corners. My neighbour came off it and broke his leg. I came off it at zero miles per hour and broke my collarbone 😭. Still awesome bike😎
@@PeterSmith-ls7ut my neighbour put some grazes on the engine bars and plastic side panel but nothing too bad as it was fairly low speed. I had the engine bars recoated after that. I would like another one!

I bought a 1998 Bandit 1200 brand new from the showroom. Black on black. Put a D&D can on it and chromed it all up. Dropped a tooth on the front sprocket, installed a fender eliminator kit, flush mount lights etc. etc. My buddy still owns it to this day. It was SO fast off the line compared to our old 1980 GS 750's we owned back in the day. What a difference and only about 98hp for the Bandit. Anyway, today I have tricked out, track ready 2012 Ninja 1000. Also all black with all the bells and whistles. It makes the Bandit seem like a pickup and pulls 143hp. Just jumps like a deer. Lol. Can't open it up on the street. Way to fast. 0 to 100 like now. Anyway. Once you get the bug....

I wanted a Bandit for years ... even after I gave up riding in college. Fast forward two plus decades and I came across a near-perfect condition 1997 Bandit 1200s. I looked at it out of state and the price was good but not great. Fast forward a year, and a fella about 20 miles from me bought the bike and then decided he didn't want it because it was too powerful and too tall for him. He knew I loved it when I saw it and as the riding year was coming to an end (late 2019), he offered it to me for a pittance. The bike had about 6,000 miles on it when I bought it and had one small blemish on a side panel. The rest is stock. The bike fires instantly and runs like heck. I rode it about 5 miles and already had it up over 120mph on back roads. It's that comfortable and easy to ride. I've had a lot of powerful bikes and several faster than this one but the relative light weight, powerful motor and dirt-cheap price conspire to make it my second favorite bike of any that I've owned. I know there are better bikes that are faster, but the value quotient on the Bandit is off the charts. It's amazing to me how effective the tiny fairing is for my 6' body. I've had 3 Concours and an FJR and they had a noisier air pocket than my mighty Bandit. The thing is a gem and I'm lucky to have come across the bike and even more fortunate to get it as inexpensively as I did. Also, for some reason, the bike in this video sounds raspy and rough. My bike with the stock can sounds turbine smooth.
Hi.Paid for mu Bandit 1500 euro's,and bought parts for about 3000 euro's.......Oil cooler was ugly,sooooo........and bolts,nuts.....iridium spark plugs......Bandit means sikness...lovely siknessssssssssssssss!!!!
Drop 1 tooth on the front sprocket and the acceleration will yank your arms off. You don't lose any top speed, the revs will just be higher. The added bonus of this also is when you come to an incline in the higher gears your top speed won't drop.. I did this to my bandit in 2000. 👍

I own 2 600cc 1200cc great fun but I never use the public road in that way . The track circuit is the place to test the full speed. Sorry mates. Ride Safe.

С самолёта в затежном больше 220км/ч ветер не даёт разогнаться ( 61м/с). 110-130 км/ч боковым ветром может на метр передвинуть на моём эндурике. 110- нормально и оттормозиться можно.
Nice one. They were a proper mans bike, gsxr motor in a naked frame. Put hairs on your hairs. I got a new 1250 bandit as a courtesy bike when my bike was being fixed, did'nt have the grunt of the old 1200's.
According to the gearing commander site it will be 249 kph at 9000 rpm, Grzegorz, your bike is spot on. Exactly as I found riding alongside a friend with the same bike, I was on a ZX-6R, both maxed in fifth gear, I had to change to sixth to leave him. Bandit, not the best in class but a good choice every time.
De weerstand vd wind loopt ook op in het kwadraat. Net als hard op het water slaan. Des the sneller des te meer weerstand. Een 1200 heeft niet een extreem hoge pk, maar wel goede nm’rs. Mss als je voor een tandje groter doet. Loopt hij weer iets harder. Mss zelfs 2 tandjes of achter kleiner. Ik zou voor kant doen.

My 1999 Bandit has a clock that is only marked up until 200 (kilometers); I have got it to go beyond that, but not 260 definitely. Sheesh; it would be scary!
You will get the same power gain out of punching 2x 2 inch holes in the airbox cover But you will also maintain vacuum for easier tuning me I prefer my 1216 lol
it says something for the strength of Suzuki's gearboxes if this bike doesn't jump out of gear by the way it is being shifted here. slop slop sloppy. but, over 46,000km who knows
I ran mine at an estimated 230 yesterday with more to go. But my Speedo stops at 180. Dunno why. Love this bike even though I’ve had some gixxers as well
Yep about spot on 225 kmh or 140 mph What people don't realize Is that all of these Suzuki speedometers are 10% fast If you could have taken it all the way to red line which a stock bandit will not do you could have hit 154 mph
