Taking a gander under my new to me 1995 Suzuki Cappuccino EA21R. Not bad for being 29 years old. There's been someone fiddling under here but it overall is pretty good. It may need a few little things to square it up for a while.
Undercarriage tour of an automatic transmission Suzuki Cappuccino EA21R probably similar for EA11R too.

Better than some I've seen for sure. I just replace every bushing and add grease fittings. ALWAYS.

The diff bushings are wrong. They should be polyurethane. 👍 For for getting in, you're supposed to pop your legs off at the knees and pop them back on once you're in.

Just be like Cotton Hill with no shins. Japanese machine guns, it makes sense.

That's how the diff bushing is supposed to look, but they are notorious for failing. I've had mine go out twice. If you hear an absolutely horrific clunking noise when you apply throttle, you'll know they've completely torn through and failed.

Ok no clunking. Just a weird rumbling resonance at 110kph or so. Once I let off it goes away. I thought it was the ujoint but was tight.

All in all, that looks very good for an antique! The automatic wouldn’t be my first choice for this car though. But the paint underneath wouldn’t bother me, that’s just a layer of protection….

As long as it's not rotten it's good. The automatic was chosen with baiting my friend to buy it. However a different friend ended up wanting it which I suppose is fine. 😆

@@AnythingWheeled It’s a great looking little car.

If you are taller than 6'1", you would have trouble getting your foot off the clutch in one of these. Plus, the automatics generally weren't used as hard as the manuals. Finding a nice automatic is far easier and significantly cheaper than a nice manual.

Ah didn't consider the leg movement. I may have to pick up a manual to try out too. I say this as I'm ripping this around the small track at Lime Rock Park 😆
