Hello and thank you for watching the last full episode in the series of the Suzuki FZ50. Today I will see if it starts. I have had to order some more parts for it, but I will show you the completed moped later on when it is up and fully running. Hopefully

Thanks David, managed to get it to start yesterday. I've sorted out a couple of fuel leaks. It runs very nice just a bit of tuning. Take care

Hello Jeff, Great to see you are nearly there with this project really lovely job you did on it i do restore bicycles so i know you put a lot of hours into this bike these bikes are worth it i am really happy i own a FZ50 i have learned a lot from your videos on this project like i said before lucky person thats gets your bike if you are selling it thanks for all the help i will follow your next project.

Hello Tony and thanks for watching the series I am glad it helped. I had a couple of fuel leaks, the leaking tap in the video was the rubber seal behind the tap lever. I replaced that and that is now fine. After I fixed that the carburettor started leaking. It took a bit of fiddling to get it right but it was the float level. I gave it a start and it ran very smoothly but cuts out going back to tick over, so a bit more adjustment there. I'm still waiting for the front panel. I will film it when it is eventually running and finished. Take care, Jeff

Let's hope so Alan. The new seal for the fuel tap has come, so I should be able to concentrate on getting it started without petrol dripping everywhere. Take care, Jeff

Thats a shame Jeff, I know you will get it going though, looking forward to the next project, Yes the heat gets to much for the dogs glad she's managing to keep cool.

Hello Jeff, I have watched all your videos of the FZ50 restoration, hopefully you will have an update soon. I did watch another video of another FZ50 and noticed that the kick start lever was up above the horizontal, not below.

Hi Colin, I still have the FZ50. I just haven't had time to fully complete it. I am looking forward to getting back to it and finishing it. I am sure that I read somewhere that the kick start needed to be at a 45 degree ( roughly) angle. I will double check when I get to finishing it. Take care, Jeff

Jeff Nothing works like it should do easy start usually will start it even when no petrol is going through I would change the plug because it fired once worth go mate hi to jenny Phil in stoke

Thanks Phil, yes that was with easy start. The fuel tap seal has come, so can now concentrate on it without fuel dripping all over the place. Take care Jeff

Hi, I bought some parts from CMSNL in Holland. They were great and didn't charge much for postage. I also got some parts from the chap I originally bought the bike from camimadi70 on Ebay . He is very helpful and has lots of parts both old and new. He has a few adverts always on Ebay. I hope that this information helps you a bit. Take care, Jeff
