This is the new Suzuki Grand Vitara, replacing the outgoing Vitara and Vitara Brezza - it's a great car, with a lot of value and the pricing makes it attainable to many people. The base model is well specced with keyless entry and start. Even 6 airbags, don't think I've seen any other base models with this type of spec at this price point.

You can adjust the heads up display,up and down and brightnessgreat in depth review,i have just got glx manual,love it

Excellent review, honest and getting into what we really need to know to make a purchase decision. The stop/start function has a kill switch for hot days.

Great thorough review. I wouldn't rely on the display for an accurate fuel economy measure. Always best to refill and calculate the kilometres travelled for a more accurate result. Ive experienced the display of fuel economy to sometimes vary both positively and negatively. It appears to take some while for the 'average' reading to alter and show a change to the economy.

There are arrow buttons on the side that are used to raise or lower the numbers on the HUD

Thanks for addressing the underpowered engine in both the Vitara and Fronx. Both fantastic good looking vehicles but ..... take it out on the highway and byways it's struggles.

@@clivescott6620 at Joburg altitude where normally aspirated engines lose 18% of their power, these cars are out of their depth on the highway or open road. Around town they are 'acceptable' but three up with luggage for a two week trip to MP and the Kruger was frustrating to be polite. Highway cruising at 120 wasn't an option and once into the mountain passes of lydenbuurg, sabie and graskop it became an absolute chore to drive. Buying an SUV or crossover implies adventure and road trips so please be aware of this before you buy. If it's purely for around town it's a wonderful car.
