I don't have lap times unfortunately ☹️ I need to look into a data logger solution that works for both bikes. The traction control kicked in a few times on the Duc but I don't think it did on the Suzuki. I wasn't too aggressive with the throttle this time around.

I love the sound of the Ducati. It's so angry going both slow and fast haha.

Mladin was pretty good in AMA Superbike during that era.

@@eddiebones20 Mladin was a fierce competitor. I think he single-handedly raised the bar in AMA racing. I met Mat Mladin at Laguna seca in 2006 and he was a super cool guy, but he sure disliked Ben Spies and Bens mother. Kind of strange my favorite ama racer was an Aussie.

@P.DuncanMonk You have to be very cautious when making such statements. Was a huge fan of Suzuki when a I was a kid. As an adult I tried a Ducati and never ever rode anything else. A WSBK title doesn't really mean, that the motorcycle is really good in stock form. Until Suzuki started using Brembo, their brakes were utter garbage. The K5 was definitely one of the best bikes that Suzuki made but look at what were they racing against? Ducati had the 999R with 28hp less in stock form. Only real danger was from Vermeulen on Honda and Haga on Yamaha. Not much other riders there that year. Toseland on the underpowered 999R. So... Wouldn't say this title means that much. On the other hand, the success of the K5 in club racing... That's something completely different and you would be right there!

You should do it! It would be a lot of fun on that bike.

I did! I'm not sure if his bike is a 600 or 750, but you can definitely hear how understressed a 1000 is at the same speed.
