hi I'm Matt, in this video I am carrying out a small service on my commuter motorbike, a Suzuki GSX S 125, it's getting an oil and filter change. service light reset. chain adjustment. tyre pressures checked and a general check over.

Good job. I was a bike mechanic and thought I bet he doesn't oil chain the right way . But not only did it right and gave Good instructions . Finding swarf on First two service interval's is normal on bikes.

Hi John I couldn't reply to your message for some reason, I find with this bike I have to go up and down the gears constantly to help it along, it may be worth removing the restrictor one day, for off road use. Thanks for watching.

How often should I change the oil after the first service? I didn't find the information in the manual very objective. Great video, thanks.

I had bikes in the 90s when I passed my bike test, a Suzuki X7 two stroke and Yamaha FZ600 and a Virago. I have lost touch with motorbikes and It's been a while since I was on a bike so I felt ok starting with a 125cc again. My Nana died and left me some money so I put it towards buying the bike and named it Nana.

Just wondering buddy I have the gsxr 125 cc very similar. Do you know the size of the sump plug bolt? Great video and helpfull.

The metal showing on the filter is normal. You'll get some pieces due to the piston and rings getting to their tolerances. Aslong as they're ain't no huge lumps of shavings. It's fine.

How often do you check the valves? How do you do it on the GSX S? Great video.

This is something I would like to know too, I didn't get a valve clearance in the owners manual, I will need to find out what it should be and how often it needs checked, i don't think this has hydraulic lifters. I will show in a video when I find out. Thanks for watching and your comment

In Philippines that bikes is 150cc I have that bike when I see your video everything is 💯% identical.

Learners can only ride 125 cc here, you may feel that this a little bit slower than your bike. Thanks for watching

I would say a little over 70mph

@@markanthonycasinillo1082 A bit late on this video but the absolute limit of this bike is 80mph, pushed mine to 79 under best case and it had no more to give.

It just goes to show how the sharp edges come off the new engine parts and trap in the filter

Hello, I have to change the oil filter and the drain seal, but I can't find de diameter of the drain seal that fits for the gsx 125. Do you know what size it is?
