Special thanks to Brendan for allowing me the privilege of riding his new bike. I absolutely love it. Brendan's Instagram - / brendan.au85 #SUZUKI #GSX1400
Have to agree with everything you said. I've recently bought one and I'll never sell it. It's the best bike I've ever ridden. I'm 5'7" and the mirrors are honestly brilliant I can see everything behind me
If that road was smooth and one way, oh what fun could be had. Very nice bike and you’re incredibly lucky your friends give you the opportunity to sample their rides.
Is so cool you get to ride your mates bikes and see what they are like. I like to do the same, but a lot of folk are weary of doing so here... I don't think they worry about their bike, I think they worry about riding mine... they have no need to do so though, as I'd not loan my bike to someone if I had issues doing so.
I haven't let anyone on the new bike yet. I will. I am just waiting for the right time. The day I rode this bike I was still on the ZZR600. It was the day before I sold it. I'll ride this bike again to do a more comprehensive review/comparison with the Concours (GTR) 1400.
You're on your wrists because the stock handle bars have been changed which are higher up. I changed mine to lower wider bars as the stock bar angle was too much for me and feels odd on your wrists. They're not fast bikes by any means with only 105bhp but the torque makes up for it some what. Lovely and smooth and a joy to ride. I have been restoring my 2003 blue/white with 8k mls on her and She is pretty much in showroom condition now. All the retro's are coming back in trend now so would sooner own a mint Muscle bike from this era like the Honda CB1300/XJR/GSX 1400 than the smaller engine new retros. Although the Kawasaki 900rs looks nice imo. Nice Vid
If I were to own one I’d do the same. The bars were still Pretty good on this though. I’m also a big fat bastard so maybe that has an impact. I do love the muscle bikes.
I'm a bit late to the party with this one, it came up in my suggestions because I've been looking at buying a GSX 1400. I have a ZZR 1400/ZX14 it's an awesome bike but I find my knees are too frog legged on it and I'm canted forwards a bit too much, I'm not getting any younger ( 65 next year). Sure I might miss the awesome power of the ZZR but I've got the Rocket 3 for those adrenaline bursts 😂 How was the leg position, is it less acute than on your Concorse 🤔
The leg position was pretty good. A bit less acute than the Concourse. I didn’t like the seat angle though. It tilted me forwards.. awesome power on this thing.
I’d really need to ride it again with a bit more vigour to answer that properly. After getting off my clapped out ZZR600’s suspension, it felt fantastic at the speeds I was riding (slow).
@@hachewie Well strangely the weather in Ireland is fab right now. It’s taken me ages to type this, I have long covid 🙄 I have it in my eyes and ears. Blisters like things on the cornea of my eyes and ears. Ugh 😑
@@hachewie Ooo I can completely understand why, they are awesome bikes 🤘 Yeah man definitely getting warmer here, although now we’re getting some spring showers, but when they dry up the weather will be perfect 🤘
Is that the same bike you riding in Roger’s video? Sure sounds good 👌. Ahhh yes it it’s Brendan’s. Do you like it better than your bike? Yeah the road looks familiar from HTJ . Mirrors are adjustable 🤘
In many ways I do like it more. The power is so smooth. It is easy to ride. It feels more natural, closer to my dirt bike days. It is lighter. It doesn't have luggage or shaft drive. It also has no screen. I would have loved a naked but bought the Tourer as I want to do some big trips.
@@hachewie naked, large bore... Love them... I'm stuck, if I get another bike, I have to upgrade the family car...which would imply getting a real job...
@@aussiewantok Real jobs are overrated. I’m honestly happy on any bike. I have a large bike now because my wife enjoys riding pillion. Win win for me I suppose.
@@hachewie Got an Aprilia Tuono at the minute and being honest I'm not that happy with it. To be brutally honest I'm more than disappointed with it. Just doesn't do it for me after virtually every report on it makes it out to be the best bike of all time...... Going to give the big old boy a test ride me thinks..... Just loving the idea of that monstrous 1400 power plant and nearly half a ton of metal shredding tarmac. I'll let you know how I get on.
@@mooncat.787 Good luck with the test. I didn’t own this bike. Only rode it once. I had a GTR 1400 (Concours). Loved it. Would top 250km/h easy. I crashed it. Miss it a lot.
