I've seen it before, but it was an oblivious driver and the motorcycle rider was a chill dude doing the speed limit wearing full gear and riding safe unlike most motorcycle riders I see. He didn't even react, he just calmly backed off and stayed in his lane on the highway. He wasn't even splitting lanes.

Not too mention what do you mean ruin a perfectly good engine? By running it? Unless you’re hitting your rev limiter every time you’re accelerating you’re not gonna ruin the motor it’ll run just as well under pressure as it will cruising as long as it is maintained and properly taken care of.

@@mcsbikelife3829 that's just not true, it withdraws ignition timing which is the same as hitting Rev limiter. Hence the fire coming out of the exhaust. It's not bad to use it once in a while, just like the rev limiter but to sit there and abuse it is asking for some form of engine trouble. Like you said, it's launch control, not red light show off mode

@@oksennuspallo4384 I said to a friend of mine years ago that it's not your riding skills that get you hurt, it's the idiot in a car that pulls out on you because they don't see you, he thought he was too good for that to happen, a couple of years later he was wearing runners and shorts when a car pulled out of a side street and hit him in the side and the foot peg went through the side of his foot, 6 weeks in hospital and a lot of pain later, 15 years after the accident that was 100% the cars fault he still walks with a limp and can't ride any more since the accident. Doctors told him the injuries wouldn't of been near as bad if he had proper motor bike boots on and and leathers would of saved him a lot of pain too, lucky he was wearing a helmet or he would of most likely died going by the damage to his helmet.

Ant T No, you are wrong. They bounce off the rev limiter for a couple reasons, usually because they do not have any traction. The other reason is because they rarely do transmission work, and it's hard to throw it into gear when it's making 400+hp. Also, civics love to be revved out like that, it's where the power is made.
