Suzuki Jimny Review (test) 

I've been drivning my Jimny Fastback for 12-13 years. It is a Gem, absolutely love it. Goes anywhere, tows my little trailer or mini-boat and I have no hesitation in heading off on 5,000 k trips into the bush. Just let the tyres down to 15l off road and away you go. Loves beach sand, wet or dry and just floats along the top.

You can get one in diesel, but only in france as far as I know. My one is a petrol version, & it can go absolutely ANYWHERE! I get 37mpg on average. A very nice town/country car! The only downsides are,that the boot (trunk) is very small, & over around 50 mph it's very noisy, & over 65mph, you have to shout to passengers!

@TheObie21 a human can climb a cliff , a tiger or a lion can not => Jimny is the best 4WD . I have a Jimny and it is the best 4WD out the . The ground clearance+ the small distance between the wheels gives the Jimny the capacity to go in places where a Landcruiser could never go . Sorry , but it's a matter of fact .But don't get me wrong , the Landcruiser is a beast of a 4x4 , nearly unstoppable , built like a battle ship . Sadly it maneuvers like one :( .

AGREED... :) the thing is, jimny is light and small, it can easily make it's way through places where a landcruiser can not even dream of going. i own a 3 door landcruiser, and that's the only 4x4 vehicle that beats my jimny.

My Jimmy cost about 1/5 of what my Landcruiser cost (in Australia) and yet the Jimmy is about twice as good at tackling obstacles.

Sure wish Suzuki would sell these in the US

it's part time 4x4 so it has no central differential to lock, no idea about rear, probably not by default

how big is the fuel tank??? and how far can it go on one tank???

gas only im afraid but they do 55 mpg

No ! That's why you can't use the 4x4 mode on the road, but it's still very capable in off-road...

did you try turning the ignition key first?

Haha nice funny car:) we are on gran canaria an have rented a jimny 1,3:) never driven it before, but all i want to do now is drive drive drive, i dont want to go to the beach our lay by the pool, all i want to do is drive around in the little jimny:) we been driving it to day, was just gonna take it for a little ride, but we drove the hole day and did about 150km around and around the great mountain roads here:)
