The racks on the Suzuki King Quads are too small. In this video we look at some options to increase the rack capacity. www.amazon.com/dp/B07K3XB5PN?...
The j hook idea is awesome! I modified my rack so I could put my cargo box on it with koplin brand lock and ride. They twist on similar to your j hook idea. so I think they are better then Polaris. I had to weld on the 1inch tube under the channel and made it flush. So it looks factory. My king is a 2008 so no plastic cover. Anyway I like your set up. I think I might build one as well for different applications. Good job on that idea. You should patent that.
Thanks for the feedback Joe. It sounds like you came up with a system that’s working well for your box. These rack additions or whatever you prefer to call them come in pretty handy when hauling large loads. The J hooks Shane came up with make it quick and easy to mount and it really mounts up solid. We’re happy so far but will probably keep tweaking it until we get it just right!
great in depth video guys, keep it up :) I love the Suzuki's even though I'm on a Outlander 650 Suzuki's my first ever machine and if it wasn't for my buddy giving me a deal on a Can Am I would of went with the King Quad 750 :) Cheers and keep on riding
Another nice video. Aaron I've enlarged (after removing stock cover) my 2, 3/4 ply rear racks to include frontside drink holders, and moved it 2 inches forward, preventing seat removal. I attach it with 6 cable ties, so if i need to remove seat for any reason, I just cut ties and off It comes, pack and all. I have loosened it on trees, but never broken any ties, tho I carry extras, of course. Cheers
Replace the bolts that hold the plastic rack cover down with longer ones. Use the longer bolts to fasten your home made rack in place. Use the plastic rack cover as a pattern to pre-drill your home made rack
I agree that the 4 wheeler definitely looks better with out these. We’ve just struggled getting all the stuff we need for our back country fly fishing trip. It’s nice to increase the capacity temporarily with this and be able to take it off easily when you don’t need it. Thanks for watching!
