I’ve just picked up an LTZ 250 2005 here in the UK, runs perfectly fine however it was sitting it the guys lockup for around 2 years so I was going to change the filter, oil, then get it serviced etc. to check for any imperfections that could do with being seen to.. I checked out the links to the oil and filter you use. The filter seems very cheap, are they normally cheap or do you recommend any others? And how often do you change the filter on yours? With the oil can I use any 10w-40 motor oil ?

There isnt much to the filters, thats why they are cheap. Yes you probably could.

@@JohnVHLife I was also wondering I have On/Res/ Pri on my fuel petcock which do you leave it on when not using the bike? I leave mine on constantly but experienced some boggyness/ chugging when riding, could it be causing a problem with my carb? I was about to buy a new carb either way however, I wasn’t sure which I should leave it on when it’s not being used.

@@MightyMags11 No, I turn them off when Im done riding. I dont think itll cause the issues your talking about though, maybe check your air filter, or give it a tune up

Something tells me that it needs 2200ml (2.2L) of oil. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Hay man do you know how to fix a shaft-driven atc rear end? I thought you mentioned something like that in a comment on Facebook I think I busted the gears in mine.
@JohnVHLife
@JohnVHLife 3 года назад
Funny you mention that. I have a video on that coming soon! Probably stripped the axle/spur gear

@@roadjokers6467I think it's the auto cam chain. I have an Ozark making the same noise. I've got it down to that part. Right top side of engine. Check yours

Engine oil capacity is embossed on the case by the oil dip stick, 2200ml or 2.2ltrs.
