She's doing a great job. I particularly like how she doesn't rush through it robotically. I'm nearly 40 and I've been teaching myself how to play piano for the past two years. I was a bit overambitious at first trying to play grade 6 pieces and I did manage some of them. I've just gone back to grade two and I feel there is value in perfecting your technique at a moderate pace. There's no rush. You could play difficult pieces at a beginner level and beginner pieces at an advanced level.
I'm 19 and started to learn piano 6 months ago. That's the next piece my professor wants me to play, looking forward to it It's never too late to get started, I suppose... :)
I've been playing for 5 years and thats what my teacher wants me to compete in next. Its quite hard for me. (I started over from 1A like a few months ago)
I have startet playing a year ago im 16 now and changed piano teachers this is my piece now no one in my family can hear it anymore everyone is humming it (I got two Songs and this week I'm practicing this one next week the other)
Awesome and elegant performance. Relax about kids' younger performers. This song was written for smaller hands so of course it is being taught to 9 year old kids. The fact that they take lessons at this age lends this song to be taught to them. Renée played it flawlessly!

Dam, the way her fingers curve when playing the fast parts, the way they seem to tickle to keys. The effortless look and relaxed way she plays it is making me so jealous right now.......
This song is amazing! I remember when I learned to play it. I was seven. Now I'm 15, lol. I must dig up my old piano book and take a break from my newer piano books to play it!!! :)
Lol I'm female and can't figure out how other females use the pedals with heels ( I take them off for driving and playing the piano, and wear flats when I can't take my shoes off), so you're not the only one....
