I am 60 years old and have owned at least 20 high performance cars including my last car a Evo MR FQ running 520 bhp. I took a Suzuki swift booster jet out for a test drive last week and really enjoyed the car performance it feels so much faster than 140 bhp. I live near you Castle Donington.
Awesome car and great review. I like how you don’t talk like it’s a script, you’ve got a lot of personality in there. Certainly got me considering a swift sport now! 😀
Thanks for the comment! It is scripted but I try to make it as conversational as possible. Like you say, personality is important! Take one for a spin, I'm sure you'll enjoy it 👍
Great review, thanks for that. I have this car in the same red colour (which looks really good IMO), but mine is the 6 speed Auto version, which is available in my country. I've got the *Racechip* ecu tuning upgrade for this, which gives it an extra 30 or so hp and an extra 40 odd torques, or so they claim. Next on the list of to-do's is Tein 30/20mm lower springs, and one of the HKS Hi-Power SPEC-L cat-back exhaust systems for this model, and a K&N air filter element. After that, I'll be pretty much happy as Larry.
Ray Hunt Found your channel while looking for reviews on the Swift Sport as I was thinking about buying one. Enjoyed your review and it made my mind up to but one. Luckily my local dealer had a very low mileage 2 year old one in Champion Yellow and offered me a great deal, so now the proud owner of a Swift Sport and love it !
Having owed one for two years now I can agree with most comments aired here, but I would say that traction from a stand still is an issue even in the dry if you're accelerating quickly. Im getting an average of 47mpg. Road noise is a bit higher than I would like but I'm used to it. Recommended
Really like the 'SSS' but I do think it's pricey for what it is (even with the discount), and the interior could be better in terms of design and materials.
Well i got 2020 version but its not the sport its the style. Iam a little older so i dont need to look like iam to race. But my version is pump up to the max. With everything you can wish on the suzuki swift. Also a little sport like a spoiler and front bumper its more sporty but just the look. The price well its high around 25k. Well spend mho.
We still absolutely love the looks of this car, the carbon really compliments the red colour. Love the red dotted around the interior, just looks like a proper fun car. Great review mate, some nice editing too!
Interesting. Saw another video saying same power info but 7.3sec 0-62mph (0-100kph) time... I wonder if that's because the Australian/NZ one has a better tune or what's going on there?
Hmm interesting! I took my information from Suzuki's press pack. I'd be surprised if that was wrong, but if somebody benchmarked it at a faster time then I guess it could be!
@@BleeCarswell yeah, I just looked at one today and the salesman said 7 seconds, and then I've seen 2 videos saying 7.3 and yours and another in the UK saying 8 something. I wonder if the 2020 might be a little quicker or something?
Got the older version with "only" 100kW and it hauls pretty nicely, would love some extra torque though! Must try the turbo version to compare to my naturally aspirated engine, I don't mind some turbo lag... =)
