Hey :) thank you, your support is more appreciated! I've got plenty of new videos planned. Next week's video gives some context as to why I've been gone for so long and what the plan is moving forward. Thanks again!
This video was filmed it 2019 when I had the Suzuki Swift Sport on loan. I loved the car and couldn’t get enough of driving - hence trying this style of video with it. Brand new videos will be uploaded soon so stayed tuned!
I’m the owner of the car in the video. It has now gone to the scrap heap in the sky. Why? Well, I had a £700 bill to get it through the MOT which I agreed to pay, and this included a fair bit of welding (surprise surprise). However, once the welder got into it it was worse than previously expected and it was apparent that the car was likely to require maybe £2k spent on it just to keep the corrosion at bay. Trouble is, the car was already tatty with 180k on the engine and the bodywork was getting pretty ropey, all in a car worth probably £3k on a good day. Other things waiting to suck up money were knackered cats, and the whole exhaust system basically. I had to make a call on it. Basically the corrosion was too much to make it worth saving the car which is a shame as I was spending a grand a year plus to keep it on the road but the car was just too far gone for the money I’d need to put into it. Corrosion really is the Achilles heel of the x308. Maybe I’ll get another one day but I’ve moved onto a Maserati Quattroporte V so that is keeling my wallet ‘busy’!
Another great video. I have been driving saabs for 25 years. I started in 900 turbos which I loved until it just got to expensive to keep one on the road so I moved to 9-5 Aero estates. I admit I prefer the Aero Auto. I go to festivals and camping every year and can not believe that I have not thought about making blinds for thr windows. Such a simple idea. Thank you. As a note I just boughy my latest 9-5 Aero auto estate for £695 with 140k miles. I sold my old one for £400 so £295 for a saab with full mot . I am laughing and loving Saab. There are plenty of bargains still out there that have been well cared for with little rust. Is it time you got another ? 😂
