We've just got the Vitara 1.4 Turbo, same engine in the Swift Sport, it pulls in 1st and second just like the sport, it only weighs 1100kg, the tourque comes in from 1500rpm on the vitara and goes to 5000rpm, the Auto really does work well and the sound system is a whole lot better than the swift, you can drive it like a car yet its an suv, suzuki did a great job
Totally agree! Just got mine two weeks ago and i'm so in love with this car. The sound system and materials could be better but i totally understand it, here in Mexico it is very cheap for what it offers, there's nothing even close to its price that can offer this driving... Hope you can get yours soon bro! Greetings from Mexico!
I own one since late July, with the manual gearbox. I come from an MX-5 NB (16 years) so as you can imagine I was very reluctant of how a FWD car like this can offer similar fun... But no it’s a great fun car to drive. I just drove a mountain road recently and even though it was narrow with short straights I saw three digit speeds (km) which could easily be reduced by the excellent brakes. ESP is also very well setup; it lets the tail get out mid corner in abrupt let off of the gas pedal which helps point the nose properly. Great fun car which can also move all the family in town. Bravo Suzuki!
This is the best review I have ever seen on my beloved Swift Sport which I have had for 3 years now. I just love how you keep laughing when you give it some
Agreed 100% about materials and sound systeem ... but it's as you express a freaking awesome (go)car(t). I have mine since 6 weeks and it's a very impressive car, most people in my country (Belgium, so many German/French cars around here) don't expect this from a brand like Suzuki. It's also quite rare and I like that fact. Awesome review ... way better than just telling the number without any emotion like most reviewers.
Been waiting patiently for you to review this car... Extremely good value for money when you consider all the performance you're getting. I own the Baleno GLX with the naturally aspirated k14b engine and I am completely in love with it... After a few years I plan on trading it in for the Swift Sport. Great video Niyaaz, keep up the good work!
I owned a ZC32s Suzuki Swift Sport in Championship Yellow, which I sold (biggest mistake) ever. Went to test drive one today after seeing this video. I had as much fun as you had. I want one now. Great review my bru.
First time I ever heard about Focal speakers was this video. Thanks for the recommendation. I just installed their entry level component speakers RSE-165 in my Suzuki Ignis running off the stock deck and such a huge difference over stock and definitely better than the Alpine components I used to have in my last car.
I could tell that you were having plenty of fun testing, reviewing this lil Suzuki. I am sure with those changes you mentioned, it would be a complete package and awesome daily drive.
Focal is amazing ive got a full focal system in my polo vivo most beautiful sound ever fully recommend not wasting money on other speakers and amps also put sound deadening in the doors and boot its worth it i also put rubber pads on the speaker mount points its worth it. Another thing buy this car its awesome and different for a change its not a gti or an st but its what we missing from japan a little pocket rocket with alot of character that just is a joy to drive and pretty reliable too. Loved this review you made me want a swift sport
Regarding the sound system, you will need a capable source. I use LG V30 with quad DAC feed through AUX line, far better than any other source the headunit alone can produce. Almost always the case with most cars. Its actually very good for the money (lack of sound deadening), staging is on point, low end can be better but even car with proper subwoofer suffer similar problems.
I think I’m getting an auto because that’s the only decent one near me. Would you still recommend getting the auto in terms of fun? Looks like your having so much fun!!
I got the suzuki swift and I actually love the looks of it and the design but the quality could have been a bit better and like you said the audio..But i love driving it🔥
Suzuki swifts can handle more power bottom ends seem to be quite strong so definitely factory detuned engines has a lot of potential for performance turbo or itbs.
Actually we gave a k14b 2015 Swift 1.4GLS Auto, and it has 120 000km on the clock, I just got an offer from a dealership for R140 000 for the car, go and see for your self they sell very used in good con for over R165 000 I've paid R189 000 brand new, albeit it actually cost R220 000 but Suzuki always gives the best price for their brand new vehicles, You will never be disappointed with the Reliability of a Suzuki, the Vitara Turbo we just bought new has the same engine as that sport and will make it our 4th Suzuki, never had a brand more reliable and after sales is just fantastic compared to personal exp with other brands, go check out Mario at Suzuki Bramley, great team there and they are number 1 dealer in a row for the past 5 years I believe, I got a chance to see The face lift sport that they just got and Llibrebil you'll like the quality upgrades...also note that in other markets this engine is over 5 years old and no reliability faults, and I mean ZERO go and ask about the 1.0 Eco boost and you will see a clear difference of how amazing Japanese reliability is
3 ΜΟΝΤΗS I HAVE SUZUKI SWIFT HYBRID 2020 .....Ι'ΑΜ VERY VERY PLEASED OF THIS CAR.....VERY BEAUTIFUL AND VERY ECONOMICAL, AND VERY STABLE ON THE ROAD !!!
Love how every review video, everyone just qoutes the pamflet power figures.. Stock Figures are more to the 115kw and 260nm accross multiple dyno's preformed all over the world..
11:29 I feel, I feel. My car's head gasket kakked so I'm using a work 1.4 Chevy Utility that's had a hard life, and these mak moere on the road also make me feel like that - was stuck behind an A35 AMG doing 60kph on the N1 through Midrand today, trucks were overtaking us until I could get a gap to coax the little Ute past. So happy my Adam is ready for collection. Speaking of... the Opel 1 litre turbo ecotec 😨!! 38 grand was the best price I could get a new head gasket and engineering done for. Williams Hunt quoted me 70 grand for a reconned motor (because of the head gasket), Opel won't let them open the motor at all, something funny going on... and there are consequently no aftermarket parts for that motor in S.A. 12 grand for the water pump housing... 8 grand for the gearshift linkage cable... 45 grand for the climate control computer... So just a warning for anyone out there with a 1 litre Adam, Corsa, or Astra. When your warranty is up get an extended warranty or something or make sure you have paid the car off already or traded it in.
All the cars in my top 5 are floored lol. 1. Mustang cheap interior and shocking on fuel. 2. R.S has a horrible sound system and hideously overpriced 3. 63 gas lifter & head bolt issue 4. Swift 5. IS350 is not that quick
Typical Japan, interior quality usually lack. But this car will run forever. Only parts availability will keep me from buying this, as theres not any Suzuki dealer near me.
Love the channel but lets be real nothing looks high quality on that vehicle..This is 300k brand new and would probably compete with a Polo TSI Highline at best..
