amazing car, with all the toys, totally reliable and incredible allgrip 4 wheel drive. I know. I've got one. In the summer we pull a small Eriba caravan and in winter around our hilltop village, we seek out the snow and ice.
@@Brukner841 as long as 1200kg is your total weight, but not if you load lots of extra weight into your van. Our car and loaded van are the same weight, so it's fine.
Greetings from Ireland and thanks for your comment Jon. We are considering a Vitara and also have a small Eriba ( Famila 310). We are not certain about the Suzuki's real towing bravery. ( I appreciate the manufacturers figures ) so nice to see a statement from another Eriba owner. Ours is about 800 Kgs.
Great review of the beloved vitara. I own a 1.6 2018 model. It's so much fun. The engine work like charm. Gearbox never skips a beat. It's adequate power on city and most connect ing highways. I keep eying the 1.4 Hybrid but can't convince myself enough to let go of the on l already have. 👍 - By the way that violin in the music video drove me crazy, it kept piercing my ear drums 🥁 even with you talking.

We still have the regular 1.4 turbo petrol ones here in Russia. I really like that they equipped the new mild hybrid Vitara with these new fully-LED headlights. Mine is a 2021 model and it still has the old ones, where LEDs are used in the lower beam and the rest are halogen bulbs. I wonder if the small battery of a regular Vitara can take these new headlights, would be cool to switch to those one day.
LEDs use far less electricity than halogen bulbs, so the battery would be much happier. However, LEDs should not be put in reflector housings as they will blind oncoming traffic (unless they bulbs are specifically designed to create a light pattern akin to that of a halogen, but those are few and far in between right now, I believe). Blinker LEDs are possible, but some cars will start indicating very quickly if you fit them, due to the system being designed in such a way to detect bulb failure. If that's the case, you'd also need to wire resistors in, which will nullify the lower electrical consumption and be more of a hassle.
@@Pit-Stop I was thinking about replacing the entire headlights - the carcass of the hybrid lights looks geometrically the same as the old one to me, so I believe they would fit in. Definetely won't be sticking LEDs where they don't belog :) Thanks for the advice.
