Chris she is a dandy. Never saw a Gamma engine in an x7. Absolutely excellent. I did one with lc swinger years ago. Love it. Keep the wire tight old chap. Peace from Ireland.
I bought a T reg white X7 for only £50, back in 1982, just after the then new 125cc learner limit law had rendered bikes between 175cc and 250cc pretty much worthless overnight. It had worn out swinging arm bushes, which I replaced. I sold the bike on, a week later.
I regret selling my 1978 X7 in 1979. I still have the sales brochure to remind of its sweet character. A nice package there mate. I still recall the time I took out the RG 250 for a test ride.
Don't sell it Chris. I grew up on these bikes. I owned a X5 first. My last X7 was standard and boy do i wish i still had it. Hard times dictated its sale at the time but i wish id tried harder to keep her. Any how, great vid. Ive subscribed and already looking forward to more vids. Keep em coming mate. Chris.
@@SpondonChris. I like a special. That isn't obvious at first glance. But rather it reveals what makes it special slowly. The more you look. The more you find. First rate job. Well done 👍
I like the Gamma engine swap, was it fairly straight forward? I’m currently restoring an S reg X7 and have a V reg donor. More of a retirement project for me though 😄
That, my friend, is absolutely gorgeous. Would love to hear it go through its gears down the road...I don't see any other videos...did you get sidetracked? 🙃
Its not something i wanted to sell, and i would be gutted the minute it went, i will have a think but its hard to price something thats not for sale.@@peterdudgon3830
