From past few years, Suzy hasn't publicly interacted with any celebrity friend or even any celebrity except for work related purpose(ex promotional interaction with fellow casts of her dramas). We as her fans don't anything about whom she hangs out with. There are no get to gather photos, no lunch dates, no cute interactions, no variety show guestings .In one of her past interviews she had said that she doesn't want to burden or overwhelm her friends. She has lived her teenage years in a extreme spotlight. And now is very tight lipped about her private life. Iu is a lovely person and a good sunbae. I hope they are still friends . Even if they are not friends anymore, it's still fine. It is natural to drift apart.

In the kpop and kdrama industry,I love their friendship the most.Suzy said that she and IU were both the poles of a magnet and that’s so sweet.IU said that Suzy to her is someone with whom she can be comfortable always even after a long time.Their friendship is true and pure.I hope Suzy gets invited to IU’s Palette when she releases her album next year~
Suzy really suffered a lot when she was still so young, she grew up with so much unnecessary hate.. The pressure of being the nation's first love, and the most popular idol really got her a lot of hate, she is so private now she doesn't want the fame she used to have. She is just trying to rest away from lights and people. Being private about everything in her life
That seems to be true of most actors. Not many do variety shows regularly or maintain a very high social media profile. Some of that is aloofness perhaps, but I think some of that is that if you don't seem like you are inviting people to engage with you, they generally won't. The less you share and the less you seem social and inviting the less people will socialize with you. It might shrink your fan base some, but especially for actors that are 30 and up, their work usually says all it needs to and people are more fans of their work rather than the person. Suzy has kind of made that transition to A-list actor who may occasionally sing where IU is an A-list actor and singer, so she has to stay a little more engaged with the public to support her singing career.
@@kentvesser9484 Suzy is humble, when it comes to her personality she is easy going and you can be friends with her so easily, IU is socially active, she needs it to maintain her fame of course. I'm just sad I wish Suzy was that way, it all started because of people who ship her with her Costars, especially when she was dating Lee min ho, a lot of rumors destroyed her, she never shows affection toward any male actor anymore. No friends no news literally nothing about her. I would agree if she was even 30, but she is in her mid twinties now, this should be her Era, actors her age do 2 projects a year. I wonder what's holding her back, she achieved a lot I know.. , she retired from a girl group at 21 and by then she was a full time actress already. Still I just wish she was more active and do multiple projects, she is so young to go private now.
@@AMS-co4zx Well to be honest Suzy has made a lot of money already. Likely enough that she wouldn't have to work another day in her life and live quite comfortably. It may be that she simply does projects she wants to do and enjoys her time off otherwise. She works enough that her star doesn't fade, but apparently isn't working just to work. You are probably right in that she may have been hurt some by all the hate that got tossed her way in her teens. For some reason I thought Suzy was closer to 30, but you are right, she is only 26. Well maybe at some point as she gets older she comes back to doing variety shows, but even if she wasn't hurt, perhaps she likes her privacy

I just remembered an old interview of IU and Suzy. They didn't really talk with each other on the sets of Dream High. Both of them revealed that their personalities were different and therefore their interactions were limited. Also IU was a big sunbae and nations little sister at that time. Suzy was a rookie idol and was nervous wreck during the filming of that drama. On IU's birthday, Suzy called her at midnight and sang a birthday song for her. Thus started their friendship and pasta dates. At that time they used to have cute interactions on twitter and used to give a shout out to each other when they appeared on any variety show.
Jeez, because watching an interview with the team and İU was shy and didn't know how to approach Suzy because she thought Suzy was superior to her and because I was older. Until one day they talked and got along

Agree, but now both of them considered as top class celebrity in korea that has kinda similiar role jn drama, female protagonist main role. So its hard for a drama to cast actreses in same level in almost every aspects.
Basically impossible since both iu and Suzy are hella popular so it’s impossible for either one of them to act as a second lead since I think both of them will think it will be a waste of their time. unless one of them wants to for some reason

Taking into account these were top stars in the business, and have so many projects and network of friends with little free time for themselves. I watched them in their early variety shows where they were regular. They really are different from each other that's why i wouldn't be surprise they would not be more close, IU has a habit of sharing ideas with how to be better or excellent in a lot of things. While Suzy has a habit of sharing very abstract ideas which the people around her dont get her often. You see, way different, but so very lovely on their own world.
That made me think of how Suzy used to amuse some of the Invincible Youth cast when she would bounce some of her odd observations off Boom or one of the guests that wasn't used to her.
I think we wouldn't know if they're still friends or not. Like the t-ara scandal, i thought suzy and iu is not friends with jiyeon anymore because they don't show it. But later on, we find out that they're still friends. Maybe we can expect a little reunion at jiyeon's wedding, i hope so.
Suzy almost never tell people who she close with, she keeps most of her friends private to avoid something like "getting dragged with her" If Suzy gets hate. That's how thoughtful she is.
Not sure. Even as Suzy's fan, we don't know who she hangs out with. She hasn't been to variety show in years and keeps mum about her private life. They do still follow each other on IG though. So they are on good terms.
