When I saw “My Mister” I thought what an incredibly talented young actress with a maturity beyond her years. Now I know why. I send her prayers and wishes for smoother days ahead, and may God help her translate her tragic life experiences into strength and compassion for others who are struggling.

IU was my celebrity crush for a long time, and I'd listen to her songs on repeat despite not knowing what they meant. I always felt that she was emotionally mature and her mannerisms always felt charming in a way, as if she had a lot to tell and a lot to learn from. The more I learned about her, the deeper my respect and admiration for her resilience and toughness. Its a constant reminder of how much we as a society can improve and stop people from having to go through such difficult lives. Props to then narrator, your commentary and tone made the video even more touching.

This just made me realize that no matter how good you are at what you do, people will always have a say at everything that will bring you down if you let it affect you. I can only see how numb she have become enduring all those pain and struggles she've gone thru. I'm sorry for experiencing all of this cruelty, Queen. You deserve nothing but only the best this world could ever offer. My respect for you just grew even more after knowing all of this. Thank you for featuring her on your channel.

I have followed IU for many years now. I love her, both as a person and as an artist. I don't think she has ever done anything to deserve the harsh, unfair criticism. I sometimes feel that those that use their time to slander and criticise innocent people online are acting more and less because of jealousy. I feel sad for them but what they do is not justifiable by any means. IU deserves a good life, she had had a rough life and needs to be able to enjoy the fruits of her labour. GO GIRL!!!!

I love IU in reality shows. Not ones where it’s her in a room filled with other celebrities, but ones where it’s just her being HER. You’ll see that she’s super chill. Very “like to be in my own time”, type of girl. She debuted at 15 guys. Me at 15 was a mess. I love her. She’s my inspiration.

I watched her performance when she was still grieving for Jong hyun’s loss! It was heart wrenching to watch. When I heard about Sulli and Goo Hara all I could think of was how much pain their loved ones must be feeling. I’ve not really heard her music as much esp the newer songs/albums. But I’ve watched a lot of her dramas and I’ve loved her in them. Whether she is playing a character transported to Goryeo Era (Scarlet Heart) or a 1000 year person whose fate is tied to a tree (Hotel del Luna). She is beautiful and she portrayed all characters justly!

I remember how shocking and hard was the death of Jong Hyun, Sulli and Hara. It’s not like death rates weren’t less even during that time but I think since the time these 3 died, the death rate of idols and artists only increased from there onwards. I just came back here after the death of MoonBin of Astro. It really gave me flashes of Jong Hyun, Sulli and Hara all over again. I feel bad for his family, friends and fandom and now I feel even more for all these people in this industry especially people like IU who tries to overcome their struggles despite all challenges when others around them gives up on life so easily and embrace death, leaving behind loved ones to mourn the loss. I hope netizen could see them as humans first instead of robots who are there to entertain them.

Watching this and remembering everything happening at that time brings alot of mixed emotions as a fan of IU . She is indeed one of the hardest working idols.

Thank you, this filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge about IU. I first learned of her through one of her almost forgotten roles, in the soundtrack for Queen Seondeok, right before I moved to Korea in 2010. Then, through the years, I heard many of her songs but only knew a little about her story and controversies, as I was a new foreigner there. But she's always won me over with her music, her personality, and her classiness with respect to old and new. Just by chance I was around Sogang University when she had her mini-concerts there and I was able to buy the very last ticket at the top row. Such a fun time, and she put on a great show. She's gotten even better since then, and I hope she and her loved ones don't have to suffer any more going forward.

I have been a fan of IU since 2014 and honestly love everything from her. I understand the controversy around Chatshire but I believe it was meant to be a coming of age project where she showed the world her struggle with shedding the childlike image and navigated her way into adulthood. She is an amazing woman and beautiful human being full of so much talent. May she experience at least some of the endless joy she brings her fans.
