This method works but theres a much more simple way to achieve this without using glue or shims at all, just put a very small oring on the base under both wheels. Tap the little wings into place and tighten down the top wheel. Remove the detent for the click and now you have smooth micro-adjustments that stays put.
I thank you for posting this, this was the first thing I did when I got my cyma SVDS. Probably one of the easiest and most effective modifications for this gun
I would cut up a feeler gauge and glue the thin metal shims in place but the hardened paper with this trick is pretty good and with a small amount of silicon grease it should last a fair while.
not bad, I honestly would prefer to add some material mit the soldering iron and then just grind it flush to a perfect fit it might be more work but it is more precise, longer lasting and you don't have to redo that every couple of weeks.
Brony Channel Interesting idea, however my method is already long lasting and very easy to do. When the paper is saturated with the cyanoacrylate glue, it becomes hard like composite plastic and does not wear off. It lasts longer than the gun otherwise will.
ok, didn't think that stuff would be that tough well, just an other Idea I came up with: give it a decend bend, guess that would be the easiest and fastest method^^
Hello, I was wondering what hop-up (instead of this one) can I install into my SVD-S to have more range and accuracy? What could I do? I have the same hop-up and everything seems the same.
+Boss Outlaw The range is defined my your fps. If you want more accuracy, you need a better quality barrel and hopup bucking, and make sure the airseal is good in the gearbox.
There are no other compatible hopup units for the SVD's other than the stock cyma and RS units. If you are talking about a hopup bucking, then I would say that I like madbull buckings.
Maekiii So the difference between my range and accuracy is my bucking? I was currently testing my svd, and the bbs fly to the left, then I tried something weird i tilted my rifle to the right little by little until the effect of the hopup made my bbs go straight and yes it worked the bbs went really really straight and the range increase by a little but the accuracy was probably 70% better just by tilting my rifle but of course that is not an option on the field. Knowing this(btw i was aware of the air resistance but there wasnt as much and sometimes no air rasistane and same result the bbs kept going to the left) do you think is the hop-up? the bucking?. Also my friend tested different barrels on a sniper they really didnt make a difference, they just increased his fps.
+Boss Outlaw Yeah your bucking and barrel is slightly rotated to the left in your gun for whatever reason. (Its assembled incorrectly) You need to take it apart and straighten it out to fix your trajectory curvature. Unless the range you were shooting had wind blowing from the right.. then curvature is expected. Its more important to use high quality BB's and keep your barrel clean than getting a cheap tight bore. I would not buy any other barrels than Prometheus EG, PDI, Madbull aluminium or EDGI.
Does the bolt push the bb thru or the air? My bbs will not feed into my gun, thought maybe piston teeth broke and spring wasnt being pulled back. Cyma svd
