The instrument does not have that characteristic acoustic sound. But DEFINITELY has its own personality and a VERY nice sound and soul. People usually are only interested in a standard cliché of sound. For me, one of the best I've ever heard. Congratulations. Peace.

Not at all. I used to play contrabass and the tone is really different. This acoustic bass don’t have the percussive attack of a double/upright/contra-bass.

It sounds like some point halfway between a fretless electric bass and an piezo-equipped amplified upright. Maybe that’s the goal. That can be a usable sound in some music. Sounds good.

I just bought a dean acoustic bass guitar. I put flat wound strings on it, I love it. It sounds best without and amplifier.

without plugging in can this be "heard" along with an acoustic guitar? that is the one problem I have found with acoustic bass guitars.... as soon as an acoustic guitar starts playing you can no longer hear the bass:(

Ya it happens sometimes, but it all really depends on who plays harder in general. If you're playing like you would an electric bass than it's gonna be more quiet due to the lack of force going into the bronze strings. Just play hard af and you'll be fine

Bass guitar and double bass are tuned the same. Bass guitar has more freedom with tuning and can play alternative tunings, but most people don’t do that because there’s not much point when you don’t typically play chords.

Yeah, same question I had in mind.....funny how every body is talking about the playing, but ignore the buying!! Where can we order it from. I love the shape, and would like to have it on a 6 strings......fretted if possible!!
