For a company executive, she seems more genuine than any others I've seen. Almost like I could picture her as a kind, caring mother. I can't really say the same about Tim Cook, or even Steve Jobs (thinking about them as empathic fathers). We'll see if her empathic attitude leads to success at Apple. Nice to see someone who at least appears as a kind human being on an executive board.
Great interview. Such incredible work going into the Apple stores. I've been to the Apple Park store up in Cupertino, and it's stunning. Makes me proud to own and use a Mac, actually - which is undoubtedly the intended halo effect - just like Tesla showrooms or popup "concept stores" are. Even if somebody doesn't buy an apple product in-store, the effect of the experience is lasting. Couldn't be more different from a Best Buy or Fry's Electronics.
I don't see this redesign getting people to say "Let's meet at Apple." I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a weekly basis at your store. Short of VR pods, it's unlikely Apple will ever be a gathering place.
well perhaps offering more affordable courses can help with that, at the end of the day the only ones that will gather will be apple users, and there are less and less of them, I can see myself going to apple to spend my time if courses and those events were real, not an idea lost in planning
As of 5/27/17, 27 ignorant people disliked this video. One doesn't have to jump on the Apple bandwagon but one must respect its products and business model.
Her question was to the point.. 'How do you motivate people?' And she goes, 'We don't overthink it. You connect with them. And you care.' For that you are paid huge amount of money? Apple, Just give the money to the people/engineers who actually do something.
Simple minded people like you dont understand the power of retail , microsoft blackberry nokia etc all went the other way, people like feeling engaged, feeling like theyre a part of something and that can bring you a long way
lol its not gonna happen angela you have great enthusiasm but apple will never be a high fashion brand because high fashion is all about exclusivity, exclusive to the rich. any bum off the street can afford an iphone payment. focus on the tech
