nobody ever mention the other features, holding down the up and middle buttons for a few seconds will cycle through a few more features, top speed, average speed and most importantly, for me anyway, is actual battery voltage, and I think the forth one is trip time.
Does this applies to to the coloured screen version ,I can same screen and buttons but it’s in colour and laid out a tiny bit different didn’t want to press anything just in case
Hiya I have just installed a new sw900 it has two connectors a large 5 wire connecter and a tiny two wire connector, I have no idea where this one plugs in ? Do you know at all , my old lcd screen died but only had one 5 pin which plugs in no problem ,,cheers
Currently I’m running a 1500w mtx rear wheel with 52v battery I set the voltage on the sw900 display as 48 due to no option for 52. It has been riding good past few weeks but now screen keeps coming up with error 06 and can’t fix it tried evrything
how have do u get the 52v setting on the sw900 as im looking at a mtx 1500w 48v kit wanting to use a 52v 28.8ah battery and im pretty sure most of the sw900s come with 36,48,60,72 with no option for 52v in PO3
You're right, we had to ask the manufacturer to add the 52V setting so we could sell it with our 52V battery. It should work OK on the 48V mode but your battery level would most likely always show full on the display. I can take a look to see if we have any spare displays with the 52V setting if you'd like.
@@G-VOLT its because im planning on building one in a month or two when i gather abit more money as i wanted to build a 52v 28.8ah and use a 1500w 48v mtx rim kit so it would be a good all arounder ebike! as i wanted too see the battery life on the display but not a huge problem its that since it recognises it as a 48v battery it may the battery v down too low as it thinks it still a 48v not a 52v.
@ethangladstone1550 It will be a good set up, the seller may be able to provide a 52V display and controller. Give us a shout if you need any parts, we're using the mtx rim on our 1500w kits now and we can sort you a discount code out 👍
@@G-VOLT do u sell on ebay or ur own site gonna look into ur stuff ur selling also ive emailed this question to the seller so hopefully i get a response.
It may be a fault on the controller if you've tried new throttles. A faulty pedal assist can also cause this fault so check that over if you have it installed.
The manufacturer must have set this, I'm not sure why! If they didn't provide any paperwork including the pin code with the sale you may have to get in touch with the seller for that one
Are you sure its the sw900 not the kt lcd because I can't password the sw900 lcd screen. And I have both lcd on different bikes and can only password the kt lcd
@@outandaboutsince1986 Yeah I'm certain unless KT also have one with the same model number and design. I think the unused code in the manual enables pin code if I remember correctly. In the manual it says" not yet in use"
Am not getting a speed reading unless the motor is in use. Also if I set it to the correct wheel size it reads at least twice the speed am travelling. Any ideas?
The only time I've seen the speed readings not show is when the controller and display are miss matched, are you using an sw900 with a DC moto controller? With the speed reading being inaccurate it's worth checking setting P07, that may need adjusting with the wheel size.
@@G-VOLT yeah. Dc motor controller and the sw900 display. Only part of my kit that's not brand new is the battery. Recently upgraded from 36v 350 watt to 36v 500. Just can't figure out what's wrong. Had to set my wheel size to 10 inch to even get close to true readings. Burning my head out it is!
@ptaylor81 There's no reason why changing the battery would cause this problem. Did you manage to see what setting p07 is set to? Also did this start happening randomly?
@@G-VOLT P07 is set at 46. I bought a brand new 36v 350 watt carrare from ebay last September. But wanted slightly more power. So bought a 36v 500 watt kit. Had it fitted professionally the other week. But instantly it would not give speed readings unless the motor is in use. And the speed was like 40 mph. Even though the wheel size was set correct. The guy who fitted it is confused as I am
@ptaylor81 I can't think of an explanation for that one, if it was my bike I'd start by trying a different display. Also check the hall sensor wires are all connected to the same colour in the white block connection from motor to controller, these 5 or 6 small wires carry the speed information from the motor to the display so you may have a miss match down there or a damaged pin.
