I appreciate your clarification about the demographics of Namibia . It’s interesting how the Dutch always acquired nicknames in other countries like in the USA they are the Amish and in other American countries like in Mexico they are called Mennonites . As for the South Africa and Namibia they are Afrikaans.

@@NEARWORLD6935 I learnt something now from you of how they called in other countries. Infact afrikaans is 80% Dutch and 90% flemisch. The name afrikaans me and Africans. The Dutch called themselves"those who inhabited africa" as africans(Afrikaaners). They reffered to afrikaans as a Dutch language mixed with some local touch (afrikaans). What's also notable is that Germany had colonies in africa like Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Cameroon, Togo etc but they focused more on Namibia giving it settler status. After defeat of Germany in 2nd World War, the Allied Powers took over Germany all territories and British South african troops invaded Germany South West africa (today Namibia) to fight local Germany troops. The Germans fought against the British - boer SA troops but they were outnumbered. However, some Germans decided to stay and not go back to Germany as opposed to other Germany colonies where all Germans left and went back to Germany. Its therefore not surprising that the Germans in Namibia today are still having family ties in Germany. I saw u left but I believe no visit to Namibia is complete without Visiting SOSSUSVLEI! MAYBE next time u shall go visit that place. Its a UNESCO world heritage site.

I deeply appreciate your comment! We went with Eurowings from Frankfurt! Where would you be flying from? In Windhoek you can go to the Windhoek luxury suites and in Swakopmund you can try to find whatever is more suitable for you!

​@@blackwonderBWSwakopmund is mostly covered in mist/fog. You can get sunny days in summer and closer to easter. Don't come during eastwind conditions. July to August: Sandstorms and very unpleasand. Best to google the weather patters
