Featuring fantastic views as we journey from Swanage where we see great views of the town and beach, then travel along the coast over the car ferry at Sandbanks and then on to Bournemouth.
I remember as a child in the 1980s going on this route in the 1980s on the ferry and the bus was a green Hants & Dorset Bristol RE single decker. And also going from Bournemouth to Weymouth on a Southern National Bristol Lodekka.
I was surprised when the bus drove on the right side of the road, I kept thinking I hope nothing is coming the other way. 😂 If I remember right that was the kid and family singing. I thought it was funny/nice and is now online in a sort of time capsule. I’m not sure which road you’re talking about, but the first road to come to mind was the one leading to the chain ferry. Especially when the bus went onto the other side of the road to get to the front, I thought at the time this is different. Thanks for watching.
