. . . watch Bob Bradley hold his first training session since becoming manager of Swansea City.
Swansea City Association Football Club is a Welsh professional football club based in the city of Swansea, South Wales that plays in the Premier League. Swansea City represent England when playing in European competitions, although they have represented Wales in the past. They play their home matches at the Liberty Stadium.
The club was founded in 1912 as Swansea Town and joined the Football League in 1921. The club changed their name in 1969, when it adopted the name Swansea City to reflect Swansea's new status as a city.
In 1981, the club were promoted to the original Football League First Division. It was during the following season they came close to winning the league title, but a decline then set near the season's end before finishing sixth, although a club record. It was from here the club suffered a relegation the season after, returning to the Football League Fourth Division a few seasons later, then narrowly avoided relegation to the Football Conference in 2003. Prior to playing home matches at the Liberty Stadium, the team had previously hosted at the Vetch Field. The Swansea City Supporters Society Ltd owns 20% of the club, with their involvement hailed by Supporters Direct as "the most high profile example of the involvement of a supporters' trust in the direct running of a club".
In 2011, Swansea were promoted to the English Premier League, becoming the first Welsh team to play in the top division since its formation in 1992. On 24 February 2013, Swansea beat Bradford City 5-0 to win the 2012-13 Football League Cup (the competition's highest ever winning margin for the final), winning the first major English trophy in the club's history and qualifying for the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League.

Hopefully the guy gets a fair chance, too many times people are judgemental over silly things. Hopefully Bradley can get the team winning again as lets face it Swansea have played well recently but they are a small club who were just playing bigger clubs.

How does Klinsmann suck when he has won more games than Bradley, has a better win percentage and brought more players through the program???? Look up the stats on the US Soccer website.
@richardmarkitan4002

@themost77 The reason that he has done better than coaches past is because he is working with a much bigger and more talented player pool, not because he is a better coach than his predecessors. He often negatively plays players out of position and he uses tactics that do not suit the strengths of the players on the field.
@emamose
@emamose 8 лет назад
Richard, you are well within your right to dislike Klinsman. I actually like both Klinsman and Bradley. I often defend most coaches against the criticism of fans because, frankly, fans don't know much otherwise they would be doing these jobs as a living. That being said the notion that Klinsman started setting records with a much deeper team pool is a fallacy. He took over right from Bradley with the same pool, that grew older and past their peak, found more players, replaced some, rejuvenated some careers (Beckerman, Cameron etc) and still set the records in the 2014 cycle. Donovan was past his peak and went AWOL for most of WCQ, Bradley was fired in 2011 and between 2011 and 2013, Klinsman set records for: - Most consecutive wins (overall) - Most consecutive wins (in the USA) - Most wins in a season (16) 2013 - Most consecutive wins (12) 2013 He did that using some older players and make shift players (e.g. Evans), while trying to find new players. Give credit when it is due. While he does play some players in different positions than they were playing in club situations, that often happens. I will agree that he plays negatively against big teams, but so did "BUNKER BOB".

the thing with Klinsmann is he plays players out of position like how he plays Johnson as a LB when he is better as a LM

Already seems like he will command respect from the players . Francesco clearly had a lot of knowledge but at times seemed like he struggled to communicate it . This guy will make us a unit we may not be as fluid as the Martinez or Rodgers days but should be effective . With quality players we could do pretty well .

Yes, I know that. Five years in Chicago didn't leave him with that accent and that's not even close to what a Chicago accent sounds like. It's clearly Jersey, through and through, not what sure what coaching in Chicago for 5 years has to do with his accent, that's just ridiculous.

Been watching Bob Bradley for 20 years. You guys got a good one. I don't know your players so I'm not sure who he was talking to as the video ended. (For all I know it was another coach.) But it struck me that this something the players are going to love about him: he is a very direct, man-to-man coach. Players respond to him and work their butts off for him.
@MyGirlSasha
@MyGirlSasha 8 лет назад
He was talking to Leon Britton. Club captain and a guy who has been with Swansea through thick and thin, from nearly being relegated to non league football in the fourth division, all the way to now, club legend!

@Lucas-wt4oq
@Lucas-wt4oq 8 лет назад
I like the intensity, I like the fact he's getting stuck in, but do all managers talk to players like he did? As if they didn't know how to pass and open up their bodies? That's the only problem I had with this video in truth, other than that I'm happy to see the boys getting put through the paces

@GabeTheAmerican
@GabeTheAmerican 8 лет назад
just because they know how doesn't mean they always do. even really good players get lazy and don't pay attention to the little things, and perfect practice makes for better play.
@nobodyknowsimgay
@nobodyknowsimgay 8 лет назад
I mean I'm sure he wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true. If some of the guys took the "lazier option of just opening up their foot instead of their whole body then its good that he points it out ad like jstoney said keeps "reinforcing the fundamentals". It's the little things like Bob said. Too many times you see teams give the ball away because someone makes a lazy pass.

He sounds as amateur as his cv. Swansea city football club is better than this. I really hope im wrong. I really want the best for the club. I think someone like ryan giggs would have been perfect. The prem aint no micky mouse league, someone with giggs's experience in the prem is invaluable. Lets hope the yanks have got this one right. All the best for the rest of the season lads. Lots of love. Dave the rave from abercrave x
@justin57153
@justin57153 8 лет назад
The love affair with Ryan Giggs is weird. If Bradley's managing cv is amateur, Giggs' is non-existent.
@MyGirlSasha
@MyGirlSasha 8 лет назад
@David Jones - You're just an American hating bigot, that's all. How could you possibly discredit Bradley for his cv in one sentence and then mention Gigss as a better option in the very next? Knuckle dragging bigotry plain and simple! Bradley won the MLS title and US Open Cup (FA Cup equivalent) with a first year team, all in a league that Owen Coyle couldn't even get through one season in before he was run out of town and that guy has been given MANY high profile jobs with no previous experience and absolutely NOTHING to show for them. Bradley has not only won several international tournaments but also took the USMNT to the final of the Confederations Cup where he ended Spain's 32 match unbeaten streak in the semi-final before losing to Brazil 4-2 in the final, both of those teams were at full strength. When was the last time a British manager made it to the semi-final of an international tournament, much less the final? Bradley took Stabaek from newly promoted to THIRD in the Tippenleague and qualification for Europe. That's not nothing! If Owen Coyle, Tony Pulis, David Moyes, Sam Allerdyce, Martin O'Neill, Mark Hughes and Alan Pardew, who have collectively won FUCK ALL, and making it to the Confederations Cup final after knocking off the number one ranked team in the world who hadn't been beaten in 32, would be the biggest accomplishment on ANY of their cv's, then how the hell could you POSSIBLY say that Bob Bradley isn't "qualified" to manage SWANSEA of all teams?
@TechnicolorMammoth
@TechnicolorMammoth 8 лет назад
If you keep your nose too far in the air, birds might shit in it.
@emamose
@emamose 8 лет назад
Confederations Cup means nothing. That being said, it is a joke he wants to compare the coaching experience of Bradley to the complete lack thereof of Giggs.
@MyGirlSasha
@MyGirlSasha 8 лет назад
Confederations Cup means nothing to England because they will never play in it. You see, you actually have to win something to participate and that's exactly what Bob did. The English marginalize everything that they have no hope of obtaining themselves. It certainly meant something to Spain and Brazil who both sent full strength squads. I also noticed how you didn't have an answer for the many other reasons Bradley is more qualified than any other British manager and you could come up with is "confederations cup means nothing", that's some weak shit but it's good to know that you are in agreement with all of my other points.
