Sorry to hear of your Swardman purchase. Should have waited for the ALLETT Stirling EGO battery powered. The Allett is miles ahead of the Swardman and cheaper.
I’m happy with the swardman. I have nothing negative to say about it. I’m wrapping up my first full year using it and it has served me well. I think it’s a decent mower. I’m personally not a fan of battery operated equipment at this time. I don’t feel that technology is at a point where I would consider that option. I suppose after some years with the swardman I may switch to battery operated but for now I’ll stay using the tried and true gas power.
Looking great !! Agree with colour also went with the standard ....6 blade but 45cm . Looking forward to using it just starting Spring in UK be a few weeks before get to use it !! Great video all best from 🇬🇧
Good Luck With Your Machine. I think in another 2 weeks I will be able to get out and use it. I’m in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA and we have some warm temperatures starting next week. I want to get out there and use the scarifier and dethatcher attachments as a start. Thank You For Watching!
@@aroundthehousewithpat31 Sounds great may do the same with scariifer and dethatcher 1st . Starting to regret not going for the slotted front pre roller seems like a popular option ..... Cant wait to start using the mower !!
Detailed vid 👍 but I used to think these mowers were all American for some reason. Turns out they're made in Eastern Europe. I know it was just a demo but cut a couple of inches off your grass with a rotary mower and then go to the reel
Thanks for watching! It seems to be a very well built mower. I did get to use it a handful of times but I didn’t get it until late in the fall. I took my height of cut down to 1 1/4 inch and mowed at that height till the end of the season which I would have done anyway. It does a great job. I want to take the cut down to 1 inch with it so my plan is to start this season right at 1 inch. I’m going to do an aggressive dethatching and verticut with it right from the start in a few weeks. I’ll be documenting it as I go and sharing how it does and my opinion on the machine. I did a lot of top dress leveling on my lawn with topsoil throughout last season in preparation of knowing I was getting the swardman. I am going to do sand leveling in the spring a few weeks after I verticut and dethatch and also over seeding. I have a nice thick Kentucky bluegrass lawn as it is. I am impressed with the cut with the swardman and the stripes from it really stand out. The neighbors noticed it right away. I’m really looking forward to getting started this year.
Hey Pat! I'm Vince and I run the RU-vid channel "The Lawngineer". I found your channel through the comments section of Lakehouse Lawn Care and see you are from the Philly area. I'm in Havertown so I figured I'd drop in here and say hello! I just subscribed! Feel free to check out my channel too. I'm looking forward to seeing that swardman in action next season.
Hi Vince! I came across your channel about a month ago or so and subscribed to yours then. You have a beautiful lawn. Wathching your videos I kind of thought you were local to me by the looks of the houses I seen but wasn’t sure. Ya, we are not that far from each other. I’m about a 40 minute drive north on 95 from you. Thanks for reaching out like you did. It’s cool to hear from someone local.
Oh man that’s a buzz kill, but the longer you wait.. the more you’ll enjoy it! Look forward to seeing some content w that bad boy! Congrats on the purchase pat!
Thanks George. It has a nice cut. I set it at 1&1/4 inches for the first cut. I had been cutting at 2 inches with my Honda rotory mower all season. I’ll be posting the video of my first cut with it.
