That looks quite diffrent to what was known as swazi gold about 20-40 years back. Was a more taller looking plant, bigger internodal spacing, slimer leaves. Towards the last few weeks towards finish it would gain a goldish colour. Reminded me of the more taller more upright growing gold phenotypes that would come out of the old swazi rooibard, as if they had stabalised a seed version of the gold phenotype of the rooibard over many years. You can see one or two of the taller plants in his field that have some slight similarites to the proper original swazi gold type, but seems they have heavily hybridized it with some shorter flowering indica type. Ah you can see he starts admiting he has been hybridizing them, with shorter, faster flowering indica types, like that heavly inbred white widow that has no vigor or size, also admits he will sell it all as swazi. Ashame. The almost extinct pure swazi rooibard from the 60s and 70s is still held privatly, and i guarantee you it grows, bigger and is much more potent than this stuff.

I am guessing that these guys are growing where there is about 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. It looks like they are going straight into flower from seed resulting in rather small production per plant. If they want to increase their harvest, they will have to keep them under 18 hours of light (to keep the plant in vegetative stage where it can grow more shoots) and then transplant them. The best option for this is to keep them in 3 liter pots in a greenhouse with LED light for 6 hours (12+6) for 3 weeks before transplanting them outside. The amount of light needed is less than you think and you can run them on solar panels and batteries, if you don't have electricity. When you do this you will give the plant a later start into flower and instead of being a small shoot, you will get many tall and thick plants.
