Imagine if RWBY wasn’t PG… Hey guys hope yall liked this one. My personal fav is still Tyrian’s “BITCH” in V4👌 Do consider subscribing and liking if you guys enjoy my content 😊 Will have another vid coming out soon so stay tune for that!! As always, thank you for watching, it really means alot to me :) Ps: Switch on CC for subsss!!
I remember watching the V4 commentary and hearing Miles and Kerry refer to it as "the first grown-up swear" on RWBY, and to date it's still the spiciest swear in the series. (also I genuinely recommend the commentaries if you have home copies of RWBY).
It probably helped that it was the first time they went that far. everything before was cut off, or not actually swearing like damn it, but “you bitch” was the first time they unequivocally cussed lol
Glynda's is top tier. "You bITch" was pretty fucking good too. It was surprising but also the way Tyrian says it lol. Clover's "darn it" is a change in pace.
Yeah big agree Tyrian’s delivery fit the scene so well, it just had so much venom in it, pardon the pun. Genuinely shocking to hear it in this show, which I think was perfect for such a grave moment
Good thing they haven't then. Although they might have it happen at least once in the future. Cause if I recall, Ruby has not sweared once in the series.
@@tacticallemon7518 You can still generate the same amount of negative energy without swearing, and while I like heavy cursing being a taboo lore-wise, I still think that they should've mentioned it in the actual show instead of letting us do theory after theory.
@@bluejacket4429 I mean, saying gosh darn it instead of the f word doesn’t really change the emotions you feel at the time. Grimm are attracted to negative emotions that you bottle up, you can look "happy" but in reality you're generating negative emotions inside. Even then, even if what you're saying is true, it wouldn't mean anything if you're inside a city. You can be the most depressed person in the world and nothing would've changed with how heavily protected the cities are.
Clover's "darn it" is just so precious. Like, almost all the kids got to say damn or crap, but this grown ass man just sticks to elementary school swears
Can we all agree that Yang at least swears all the time in her head? Like, she internally has a serious sailor mouth, but she long ago resolved to never go that far in reality because she didn't want to traumatize her poor baby sister? "Yang, I'm sixteen, almost seventeen, I can handle big-girl swears," Ruby sighed. "Hush, you are the pure one on this team and I'm keeping it that way!" "What are you talking about?" "She means how I've heard Weiss dropping F-bombs under her breath in the heat of battle, and I unironically enjoy some pretty hardcore romance novels," Blake deadpanned. Weiss blinked in shock. "Blake, how could you possibly--" "Faunus hearing, why do you all keep forgetting that?"
Honestly, one of my favorite ideas for a future episode is for Ruby to one day just snap and curse up a storm that makes Weiss, Blake, and Yang, at the least, just stare at her in shock, or even just one or two words.
Was this from an actual episode or just head canon? I can’t tell. I’m new to this series. I’ve only seen spoiler clips of it occasionally and I’m still stuck on season 1 because of my preoccupations and summer job.
U-uhhhh…. (Volume 8 spoilers) So I don’t know if you remember but when I think it’s called amity tower (the big floating thing) falls because Penny couldn’t hold it. Maria was inside, and you don’t see her for the rest of the volume… it’s assumed she’s dead.
I actually remember when Josh Grelle (Tyrian) was interviewed regarding Tyrian's debut in season 4. One of the questions was "How did it feel to be the first person to officially swear in the RWBY series?" The sarcastic response was something along the lines of "Oh, my life has never been the same." 🤣
Roman's eye roll and delivery is so natural it's insane. It teaches you without even mentioning it that something as dangerous as having a knife to his throat will have Roman be sarcastic
when I first heard tyrian swear in the show I was genuinely shocked, after watching all the previous volumes I thought that cursing was like banned in the show xd
@@BlueV205 it’s funny on an old podcast they joked about rooter teeth being bought and becoming boring and repetitive. Mis the good ol days of red vs blue. And when Monty was still alive
@@splatoonistproductions5345 in more of like a shocked/suprised kind of way because before that RWBY didn't really have ANY cursing minus like one "damn" so Tyrian calling Ruby a b*tch really shocked everyone
Rules in rwby: 1. Everything is a gun 2. They swear 3. Everyone constantly argue about rwby getting worse Honestly everyone should stop comparing each other (RWBY). Maybe new rwby fighting scenes aren't as great as old rwby, but i think we can all agree the animation is better.
@@bubble_bubble911 There is something to be said about comparing Monty's vision with what they put out now, but that does not absolve the show from receiving criticism, because frankly it stinks. And comparing the two is part of that because someone watching season 5 can go "hey, this is really bad, why is this so much worse than season 3?" They can point out the things the previous seasons did better, with hopes that the show will take those elements and improve.
@@hannahneloms1143 honestly the show wouldn't improve, (it depends on rooster teeth, But i don't think so cause they care of money and cut off important staff) i mean just look at volume 8 and 7 and the coming V9.But i don't understand why people think the shows bad i mean the fights are still OK, and the story has its own pros and cons.
@@bubble_bubble911 In my opinion the show is barely watchable, which is why I think people need to state criticism and comparisons, so the show can improve.
Waving Buddy religious or not the sentiment of “damn you” still stands, you’re literally condemning someone to eternal torture. But the term itself is used to death so we hardly think on its origin and meaning
Okay but there’s a scene in either Vol 1 or 2 when the White Fang are unloading supplies and somebody in the background is like “hurry the f- up”. He’s in the background so it’s light but I definitely rewinded enough times to confirm it lol
... we had no idea how right Glynda was about Ironwood yet we all knew exactly how terrible a human being he was. seriously fanfics where portraying volume 7-8-9 Ironwood back in volume 3
I took three things out of this video. 1. This show likes saying "damn it" a lot. 2. It seems fitting that the first swear word would go to Qrow. 3. I love how the first use of the words "ass" and "pissed" were both by Emerald and were pretty much back to back.
Haven’t watched it since volume 5 (whichever before Atlas) and it was obvious to see. Tyrion says to Mercury and Emerald that it’s their last chance, they either leave Salem’s cause or stay to die for it (something like that) as he see’s she’s losing resolve to continue. Especially after Cinder fell.
When I watched through the show for the first time the 'bitch' from Tyrian, directed at Ruby of all people was certainly a surprise (not massive mind you, I am a Red vs Blue veteran). I hope for the day the show drops an f bomb, as they've clearly been taking advantage of not releasing it on RU-vid more and more.
"Comment your favourite"? I'm gonna go with "YOU BITCH!" since that's (To my knowledge) the only time they've fully said a B-tier swear word, and it stood out to me.
