Sweden to Denmark over the Øresund Bridge by bus

In this video, we make a journey on a FlixBus coach from the central railway station in the Swedish city of Malmö to the central railway station in the Danish capital Copenhagen over the iconic Øresund Bridge. This is the longest video I have ever recorded.
The Øresund Bridge is a road and rail bridge opened in 2000 and is five miles in length, connecting the Danish capital Copenhagen to the Swedish city of Malmö. The total crossing is around 9.5/10 miles in total which consists of the bridge, the 2.5 mile Drogden Tunnel and the man made island of Peberholm (which was built entirely from the soil and earth dug up during construction of the tunnel). The bridge is truly an amazing piece of engineering and architecture and I recommend it to anybody who hasn't yet been.
Compared to my previous video where we took the train from Triangeln, Malmö to Copenhagen Airport, the bus journey offers far greater views of the bridge, the Øresund strait, Sweden and Denmark as the upper deck of the bridge is dedicated to road traffic while the lower deck is for rail connections.

Thank you all for your nice comments, it was a pleasure making this video (apart from my arms aching). Just to clear something up, I was actually on holiday when I took this video. I am not from Sweden or Denmark but from the UK. For those of you who haven't yet crossed the Øresund Bridge, I would highly recommend it. The bus journey on FlixBus is significantly cheaper than the train fare and the views are better in my opinion. Hopefully the pandemic will subside soon and we can be comfortable travelling abroad again. Until then, I wish you all good health.

I have been to Denmark 10 times. My first trip was with a Honda Amigo 49 cc. I left Brussels to reach Copenhagen 3 days lather. I was 17 at the time. Never seen the Oresund Bridge. But I have seen Sea Point in RSA and Etosha Pan in Namibia. I have seen the Victoria Falls. Saw my first GP F1 in East London in 1962. Nice to see your video. Perhaps I need to go one last time Denmark and Sweden. I am now 66 years. I might spent my pension in Nambia. I have lived in Tooting and Wimbledon. Only during a month.

Funny story about this video actually... When I woke up this morning, I went on the daily RU-vid spree, just letting the algorithm take me where ever it pleases. After a couple of hours, I stumbled upon this video. Malmø to Copenhagen. It seemed like a fun idea, just to videotape the journey, and as I've never done this trip myself, I found it worth giving a shot. After the first few minutes I was intrigued, and after the next 10 I was engulfed. When I hit the 30 minute mark, I was completely hooked. I wanted to go on a Flixbus ride. And I wanted it now. I knew I wanted to ride somewhere, but where do you go when you don't have a goal? You go pay your parents a visit of course. So I booked a ride across the country, to spend a week with my parents, all because of randomly stumbling on this video this morning. The funniest thing is, that im sitting, right now, in the bus you can see in front at the end of the video - "Madsens". So thanks for inspiring me today, and thanks for making me eager to go explore a bit in busses.

This looks like the coach I road on from Copenhagen to Malmo on my wvisit to Scandinavia in 2019. It was myself, my boyfriend harry and his best friend Dwight, we came from Manchester and took the scenic route We flew from Manchester to Copenhagen, coached to Malmo, took a train to Oslo then a coach to Trondheim where my boyfriend's family live. All 3 of us love dour trip and I'm sad my original channel is down because it had a video of our trip, Dwight had filmed the entire coach ride from Copenhagen to Malmo. He is good a tfilming long videos like that, he's the only one I know that doesn't move his hands around while holding the camera so the stereo sound was perfect. Thank you for posting this video because it does bring me back, even though this bus is going the reverse of what myself, Harry and Dwight did. Love from Manchester.

The Oresund Bridge connecting Malmo with Copenhagen and Sweden with Denmark effectively is also connecting the majority of Scandinavia with the rest of mainland Europe. A fantastic feat of engineering.👏👍🤝 You can also see that when designing the Oresund Bridge that they were savvy enough to appreciate the strength of winds the bridge would need to have to withstand. I believe that the Swedish will have learned a lot from their vehicle makers, such as Volvo who are reknown for their powerful engines.
