I love these so much! I watch them every year since they’ve come out. It’s MY tradition.

I'm from Brazil but had the privilege of spending 4 Christmas holidays in Sweden. The first one was in 81, when I was 8. We have no advent calendar culture in Brazil, so I glued my eyes to the TV everyday just eagerly waiting to open the "window of the day" with my brother. God Jul!

I am really enjoying your Advent series. I know it is from last year. I am finding your traditions fascinating. I thank you so much for sharing.

I so love advent calendars. My husband even puts little treats for my knitting for each day, so I have something to open as a treat.

Ah yes, what special memories as a child! We even got excited over the Christmas advertisements on TV whether that was an add for a man's electric shaver (the Norelco add where a little Santa rode an electric shaver over the snowy hills like he was on his Christmas sled) or a new kitchen appliance for the ladies. We knew when we started seeing these TV commercials that good old Saint Nick was soon to be visiting! And, WOW, when the toy commercials came on....Barbie dolls, G. I. Joe's, Chatty Cathy dolls, Slinkies, Mr. Potato Head, Daisy BB rifles, Lincoln Logs and on and on! What memories! Wishing you many joys and wonderful memories!

Being childlike is a gift ♡

The show looks adorable! I wish we could see that too here in the U.S. It's so important to connect to our inner child and that sense of lightness and joy!

I knew my children enjoyed opening our wooden advent calendar each day of December and getting the candy, gifts and notes. But I never would have guessed that even my grown sons would now make it their own tradition with their families. Neither of my daughters in law had this tradition growing up, so they are getting to enjoy it as well!!! My daughter confiscated our advent calendar when she moved on her own years ago. She leaves candy or small items for anyone who happens to visit her that day. I didn’t grow up with an advent calendar so I am happy to have begun a tradition that seems to be a special one.

Aaaahhh, your sweater is so beautiful, it makes me want to knit again.

I love the idea of you as a child watching those advent clips!! I used to adore opening my paper advent calendar, with no chocolates only a pretty picture with glitter on it. I adored those pictures. PS Your jumper is lovely, I would love to buy the pattern and knit it for myself.

When you talked about the TV shows that were back in your childhood, I was sure (and getting excited) that you're going to say "I watched Pippi Långstrump!" 💖But you didn't!🤷 Now I'm thinking why did I've seen it over and over as a child, ( in Argentina )and you didn't?
