My name is Juni Maria & this is my life in Sweden. I love nature, Scandinavian/Nordic design, Swedish traditions, minimalism, foggy mornings & finding beauty in the simple & smaller moments in life.
In 2011 I suffered a stroke at a young age which turned my world upside down. I realized I didn't live MY life the way I wanted to, instead I lived a life based upon the expectations of others. This has affected me a lot, especially who I am, my mindset & the choices I make in my life. I truly believe that we have to let go of the illusion that is should have been different. I chose to focus on what is good in my life, because then the good grows & being thankful for what's good counteract a lot of negative emotions & stress.
Today I live in Dalarna & enjoy foggy mornings & living a life based on what brings me joy in my heart!
Alternatively, save yourself around 3000 SEK/night and stay at one of the thousands of free vindskydd and stugor placed in incredible locations all over the Nordic region.
I am actually in Stockholm at the Moment (I’m from the UK) fulfilling my ambition to visit Sweden. It was ‘Northern Heart’ that started my love for this Country. It has not disappointed, it is so pretty. I will be coming back to visit other areas for sure!
As a Swede I cannot help but wonder why you are speaking English with a typical American accent - is that what the younger generation is being taught at school these days? Back in my school days - during the 60's - we were taught 'proper English'; but now you rarely hear any younger Swede use that kind of English. To my aging ears the American accent is quite ugly compared to British English, so it's really a sad evolution. Oh well. The village looks nice though.
Vi lägger alla vår tid på olika saker, om du känner att det ger ditt liv mening att fundera på engelska uttal i olika generationer… och vad som är ”korrekt” uttal. Ja du…njut av dina funderingar! ☺️🤗
Actually, under a lot of snow, it'warm! That's why people who are out in the wild and a snowstorm gets them unexpectedly, they dig a cave into the snow and get sheltered, leaving only a small opening for oxygen. Hi Maria! It's so good to see you again❣️🇬🇷
