The cartoon is Finnish/Japanese production and the author Finnish. So it’s misleading to call it Swedish cartoon. There is a Swedish version and for the books the author was a Swedish spewing Finn but that doesn’t change make the cartoon Swedish.

The "Freaky Fred" episode used to be so scary to me, with that "playful" childrens music and him talking im rhymes. Nothing sends chills down my spine as much as a sleazy salesman looking psychopath obsessed with buzzcutting peoples hair to this day. Good thing they're quite rare :D

I mean, in greece, we have lots of Turkish tv shows aired on greek channels, I think it’s because it costs a lot less to stream, and especially, with cartoons, you can’t really tell what the language the characters were originally speaking before the dub, so he could’ve thought it was Swedish. Thank you, I went to see that movie when I was 5 and started crying when I saw the poster for it outside the bathroom while I was waiting for my family to get out. I didn't scream or anything, I was just so terrified I didn't know how to react, so I cried. Also, I never really cried as a child so this was pretty out of character for me.

When I was a child, my parents showed me this one video that basically taught kids that your stuffed animals and dolls come to life at 3:00 in the morning and roam around the house. This one video had 3 year old me believe that stuffed animals were real, breathing organisms, so I would go to great extents to take care of them and make sure that I didn’t hurt them in any way. One day one of my stuffed animals head got caught on my door as I was entering my bedroom, then suddenly, as I kept on walking, my stuffed animals head completely came off. I felt like I had just killed one of my best friends and I wept for hours with the corpse of my suffed animal in my hands.
