No need to compare this to the original. Totally different time periods and pieces of music. If anything, just like the rest of their recent album, this is an homage to their roots and inspirations in classic house music. Beautiful spin on the original. They always bring the emotional, powerful chords. Mixed with those classic lyrics? Chills.

Best song of the new era

For everyone complaining, It’s only the lyrics which they got permission to use so I bet they’ll credit them once it’s released. The bass line, melody and structure is all new. I went and listened to the original and to me they are both good on their own. If you really want to complain about stealing songs, ask David Guetta, Jason Derulo, and Flo Rida, NOT SHM.

As beautiful as Alicia's voice is, for me this has nothing on the original. It's missing that iconic bassline, Julie's silky smooth vocals - one of the best soulful house tracks of all time. Remixes, edits, covers, they show the timelessness of great songs though, I hope people get enjoyment out of SHM's version. That's what music is all about!
