You know you want to be here to see how they have their life, and what you can do for them also. So we have collected some money and see what we can do for them. In Sweden, our friends want to help, you know, we want to do something back for them."

26. SOUNDBITE: (English) Carl Michael Bergman, Tsunami survivor:
"I have the same feeling today that I had one year ago, that it's a true miracle that anybody survived them, especially Hannes, a one and a half year old kid. So close to the wave, tumbling around here hearing water, drowning, being unconscious for a long time, pneumonia, it's a miracle. I can't really understand it, it's truly a miracle. He must have some high kind of spirit or God's with him or angels because the only thing I saw on him, I didn't see any bruises or wounds or anything. I saw a small small spot on his back and it could be made from anything you know, but everyone else from this hotel was having wounds all over their bodies. So it's like he had been protected somewhere and I can't understand it, can't believe it still. It's a miracle and I am so happy for that."

STORYLINE:
A year ago the story of the Swedish toddler saved by a Thai princess from the Indian Ocean tsunami became one of the most famous survival tales of the disaster.
18 month old Hannes Bergman was caught in the torrent, with his mother, in the Khao Lak resort area of southern Thailand.
As she tired she handed him to a stranger.
