Boy ,did this wedding look so much more royal, intimate and beautiful and sincere than anything that I ever saw the Brits do. I have to rethink the old remarks that no one does royal better than the Brits,lol...that procession of the bride and groom in the carriage and then on royal barge to the palace was epic royal,so tasteful, not overdone and so beautifully presented,almost Hollywood and yet truly 19th century storybook..
You really think so...Its a little smart for most British tastes. too many Tiaras and long dresses.. British Royal weddings are less flashy. But if this is your tastes...you got everything you wanted. British Royal weddings are much bigger and longer of course... Yet more personal with the couples friends being favoured to Royals. I wonder how many of the Royal Faces we see here are ever likely to meet this couple again ? Brides dress is stunning and she looks so happy and that's what is really important.

And we Brits do enjoy seeing our royal couples wedding processions in carriages, from Queen Elizabeth through to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. All royal brides and grooms ride in carriages so the public can catch sight of them.

I don't know if Queen Silvia had just had work done before this or if it is her makeup, but she looks absolutely beautiful here so fresh...more than usual because she is a beautiful woman. She just looks exceptionally pretty here.

Well, I'm not sure this wedding puts British royal weddings 'to shame', both are simply different from each other and equally 'stunning'. In my opinion some of the gowns looked gaudy, as if they'd be worn by drag queens, but I guess this is just the European style. As for the tiaras, those in our royal family are just as sparkling and noticeable. Then we come to the speeches, how can we compare when the wedding banquets of British royal weddings aren't televised, so how can we know what they're like in content?! Yes, Princess Victoria is indeed beautiful, then so is the Duchess of Cambridge who was radiant at her wedding to Prince William. And the Duchess of Sussex and Princess Eugenie didn't look at all shabby on their wedding days either. Whilst this wedding appeared to be less formal and more carefree than our royal weddings this doesn't detract from British royal weddings.
